Could you explain this a little further

I have no idea about Sears as they were never in Australia, curious as to what and why

    Paul

I can’t really speak to their demise but I can shed a little light in Sears as a company. They were at the time the equivalent to online shopping today. During the late 1880’s the company was founded and grew exponentially from there. People were tired of the local general store with few choices and usually high prices set by the store keepers. Sears saw this and put together a catalog with everything from housewares, equipment, house kits and everything in between. They continued into the 20th Century being very profitable hometown store that carried about everything imaginable in a store and offered in store service for many of their products. (Example being of you go to store x and buy product y when product y breaks store x will not help you and says you must contact product y’s customer service center) In my opinion sears let stores such as Menards or North 40 fill that same niche as they were in. From my perspective Sears didn’t put any money into updating buildings, wouldn’t add on or expand so they had these sad little stores with very little on the shelves and most things had to be ordered. Now in the area I live in that’s a real pain. If my refrigerator goes out and I run to sears only to find out they only have on refrigerator on hand I’m going that day to another store to buy one. Part of the impatience on my part is I drove a minimum of 70 miles one way to get to a sears and secondly I need a refrigerator now not in two weeks.

  2. Wow now even their filters are junk. I quit buying anything electronic from NAPA years ago due to the parts either hadn’t worked right from the box or failed within a few months. At the time I talked to a guy who owned a logging company and he told me he quit doing business with NAPA for the same reason. Icing on the cake for me was the local NAPA store tried to get me to sign some phony document that looked like he made at home releasing his store from having to replace anymore Napa gold lifetime warranty products. I told him to pound sand and he refused to honor the warranty. He gets last laugh because the next closest Napa to me is about 45 miles away one way. So now I order parts from eBay and Amazon.

so china can declare war on the US, never fire a shot, and still win.

Certainly some truth on that statement but keep in mind China is the number one importer of soy beans and we are the number one exporter with soy bean facilities all over the globe. They stop sending us goods we stop sending them food. Seems like the US would be in the winning side of that conundrum.

You can't see the look on his face, it say's I know this is fake and so don't you so let's joke it up, yep all for the sake of getting rid of Trump and then on to destroy America.

Well the same narrative has been playing out since this started. The lockdown rules only apply to the peasants. Remember the rich lady in Connecticut I believe that had the party with people from all over the world? Or all the wealthy turds from NYC running to the hamptons?  Or all of the Californians flooding Montana?  Land prices have absolutely sky rocketed here due to wealthy out of staters paying ridiculous prices sight unseen.

  5. I had to go in my profile and delete attachments one at a time. It took forever to clear some space. Wish they had a “select all” and a “delete all” button. No clue on your pms.

So let me get this straight. We have a leftie mod who has appointed another leftie mod, and they have in turn reinstated several left wing wackjob shitstirrers to the site? Am I following this right?

Teamstergrrrl, gearheadgrrrrl and maxidyne are all the same person. She keeps getting kicked off for trolling yet a couple of people behind the scenes keep talking Barry into letting her back on.

When you reach that level of “untouchability” sky’s the limit on what you can get away with.

Yeah just ask , Epstein, Weinstein, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and the rest of the powerful politicians and A-listers who have been caught by manifests going to Epstein’s island.

Don’t be offended, but I think Georgia Dave has that Lady Blah-Blah Blocker turned on like Heavy G.

It’s like sitting on a sunny beach without the bugs or seagulls annoying you. You could almost say it’s paradise 😁

I feel that welfare and the other assistance problems need to be there but they are not a career.

The current system needs to be reformed.

I had an employee who was a single mom who was having trouble making ends meet and welfare told her to quit her job to collect benefits. Fortunately she came to me and I authorized her to work a little overtime to make it.

The system needs to be reformed with the goal to get most, if not all, of the recipients off of welfare as soon as possible. Yes the training and or education will cost more initially but at the end the recipient will then be paying into the system.

I agree with everything you said. The trouble is getting the Democrats to vote for programs to help people get off of assistance because then their voters base goes away once they are self sufficient and can have thoughts on their own when not sitting around with their hands out they likely won’t vote for someone who they only voted for before because of the promise of more handouts.

  10. Those loads look to be real top heavy David. Just out of curiousness do you guys decide hey we’re only running 45mph on straight stretches and 15mph on anything more then a gentle curve or just go at it by what the drivers see and feel is safe?  Always interested in seeing what you guys haul.

You all may already know, but it has just come to my attention that at the time of the Atlanta (Wendy's) incident, a taser was considered a lethal weapon in that state. Thus, it would logically seem the police officer responded acceptably to a fleeing suspect firing at him with his stolen taser.

I'm also told by authorities that, following the event, Georgia changed their stance on tasers, and now does not consider them a "lethal" weapon (although people can perish from taser effects). This change of position on tasers as a lethal or nonlethal weapon, after the event took place, swayed the law against the police officer.

So how do the law makers and more importantly officers know when a criminal takes their taser from them that they are not going to only tase them but possibly beat, stab or shoot them once incapacitated?  This upside down world is something else.

Heavy G, once you block can you then read quotes?

    For instance..

I say “The sky is blue today”

Maxi says “As a matter of fact blah blah blah it’s not because blah blah and your part of the problem blah blah”.

and I quote her to my next message... can you read hers or is it complete black-out?

No but there is an option drop down menu next to her name so maybe you could temporarily unblock or take a peek so to speak.  Only time I see her crap is when someone quotes her it shows it.
