  8. I installed a set of new recaps across the front tandem on my Granite triaxle dump truck. in 8000 miles I’ve lost about 80% of tread. Is it possible the power divider is not functioning properly to cause this problem and how do I check that?
  9. Got it running today…. Bad connections at a few key fuses at fuse block in cab. Starts well but no throttle control . will be checking that next.. sledog
  10. Thanks…. I have now realized that there IS a self-diagnostic test I can perform on this. I will be checking this afternoon to see if any faults are stored. I have noted that a bad crank sensor won’t throw a fault… Sledog

  16. I just came in late on this convo but I used to own a 97 RD 10-wheeler spec’d-out like you have…double frame and everything on a dump truck with aluminum box….great truck and would out pull my 460aset any day of the week! Good choice putting the 18 speed in there…
  17. I have realized the filter manufacturers list a coolant filter for my aset/ai motor. My Mack main/lube book states that this is an option on these motors. I guess I should find one and bolt it on there right? Can someone please post a pic and part number on here. Thanks.
  18. Is there a way to check for proper operation of jake brake on a AI-460 without removing valve covers? Thanks - Sledog
  19. Ya Joey it was right behind the control board on the right hand side. It doesn’t look like it popped off by itself…. Probably was swapped with her sister truck and never got hooked back up…. Pretty sure it’s been like that since I’ve owned the truck…… Sledog
  20. I found it…the rod for the flapper wasn’t attached to the lever for the control knob. reattached it and all is good. thanks for response guys. Sledog
