It has "very rare Original Fiberglass Front Fenders"? Have never heard of those.
From what I have heard, a fiberglass tilt hood was an option in the late production B53’s. Mike

Where are you? I have a K model I would sell. I’m near Philly. Mike.

What’s the plan for the truck and what else are you liquidating? I’m just down the road in Boyertown. Mike.

Here are two D models from the Mack Museum. The green one is for sale if anyone is looking for a project. They also have one they restored inside but I could not find a photo. Mike.

I put this a Napa 12v fuel pump on several of my trucks including my 1947 85LS. It works great without a pressure regulator.

Actually the Smith truck is just a parts truck; I'm using the frame rails and rear bogie from a tandem and the cab, engine, and other parts from a single axle that I have. The color I picked is a teal blue. I think the Smith is number 160...it's got more rust than steel in the cab. I'm using the front axle, transmission, and some other parts from it.
That’s cool. I’d love to see more photos. Would you consider selling me some parts when you are done with your project? I have an H69 that could use a few this.

I must have forgotten that your truck is a smith truck. It looks great so far. What number was it? Are you painting it in the Smith livery? Would you post a before picture please? Thanks. Mike

Blackie Kufrovich from SHFS died a few weeks ago. Sad to see him go. He was a great guy. Michael

The bottom cushion of the driver's seat was clearly not made at the same time as the other cushions. It was evident before I got to this tag, although the exterior was a near perfect match. Based on the condition of the back cushion, I suspect it had worn through and was replaced with this one. I sent some pictures over to Royersford Spring Company - still in business in Pennsylvania and got the attached response.
The seat company is about 2 miles from where I work.

Where is the truck located? A few more details would be helpful. And as mentioned above, photos. Thanks

Nice find. They started using this emblem in 1923 or 23 on AB’s and AC’s.

What a hard year. I am sorry to hear that. The ladder looks great though. Keep plugging away. Mike.

Yes, the L cab was only available on the B7 series, the front of the hood was wider which did something to allow a slightly modified L cab to be installed, most likely made the hood straighter which made something line up. The advantage being the L cabs have much more room.
4 B85F’s were built for Chicago with the L model cab. mike.

DS600. Sounds rare. Couldn’t have made many of them.

My father has a B66 with a 540 in it. We could not find an exhaust manifold that wasn’t broken. Let me know if you find two. Good luck with the project. You are making great progress. Mike.

That cab is pretty nice. I’ll give you 500 bucks for it. You’ll have to deliver it to PA though. And paint the roof black. If not I’ll only give you 400.
Anyway I’m really jealous. I wish I could do work like that. Keep the posts coming. It’s great to see someone getting something done. Mike.
