Geee whiz....Boy Oh Boy that is rare!!!!
News flash!! Dateline Earth:
All B73's were Cummins powered!
Sounds like this buyer got a "story" from the previous owner.
Craigslist can be entertaining!

Boy Mike, that Brockway is a sweet little truck!
Are you going to try the Pertronix ignition system on the EF? Let us know how it works out for you.

It actually has a bad sping pack on the drivers side front, that's why it's leaning.
Ben
Sort of figured that was the case.
I have been dumped on today with all sorts of sh!t and just wanted to spread it around some!!!
Now.....why do U models lean?
-
That thing is leaning over like a U Model !!!
What Gives?? Does it need a kickstand? Is the open driver's door that heavy?
Guys, lookin' good!

What's the info on that orange truck with the squarish chrome grille that's right about the green B model? That thing is sharp.
It is an Mack LTL tractor. it was a popular west coast model back in the day but quite a few have migrated east.

That was one of my favorites too, esp the grill guard captioned "Screaming Me Me" I didn't climb up on the trailer but I wondered if it had a Detroit when I saw that on the grill guard.
That is Doug Richardson 359 tractor and it is powered by a 6-71. He is working on a V-12 U360 Brockway tractor.

That's Good! Hopefully you guys get many weeks with no issues.
I saw your CH empty heading west on Rt 9 in West Brattleboro last Wed. afternoon.

Doug told me it was Tackaberry's buddy's truck. I thought it was a Tackaberry truck too.
The red R model does belong to Steve Hudson who is a friend of Tackaberry's.
Super nice guy. Sometimes brings some of Tack's stuff to shows as well as his own.

Hello OTR,
Now that you are doing some harvesting, how bad is it in your area?
In this corner of the world, a few are going to get a second cut on hay but not too many.

A little Marks Farm of Martinsburg action in your first picture.
If you go further north on 12 there are a lot of Macks hanging around at the Murcrest Farm in Burrville (I think?).
Also, there is the red and black B61 mixer guarding the concrete plant gate at the south end of Watertown.
Just went through there and didn't have the camera ready. What the hell was I thinking?

I have some Mack tools and I am going to put together a kit for my DE. It will take smaller wrenches like 1/2 and 9/16, pliers, hammer and screwdriver.
Through the years, I have also find some of the bigger ones like the number 37 and 41 wrenches which is for larger bolts and about 16-18 inches long with the Mack script stamped into them.
I have also seen them at the Macungie show flea market.

My understanding is the U model never did but the DM got the +3 cab around 85 (????)

hm i wonder what R model that is Vinny. would love to have that whole truck, old school r model, 673 natural with a 10 speed duplex and the front rear tire right behind the cab, a true ST. bet she rode rough. never called him, still got the number. 200 for the sled, hed probablty want 10 grand for the Mack and you can literally stand up in it and lift the top of the cab off with you hands, that is if you didnt fall thru the floor. i do remember it had beautiful green shag carpet in it haha.
Is this truck on Rt 12 just a little ouside Loweville toward the west?

WoW! Very interesting.
One thing I noticed is how the windshield glass is cut. The Mack has rounded corners and the IH looks to have more of a square cut.
Some many other features say IH.
Was this a case where both cabs came out of Orrville or some other sub contractor?
I will be interested to hear the story behind this one.
Thanks for sharing.

I think your trucks are St. Germain out of Canada. Here is a link.
The colors set them apart from lots of companies around here. Hope you have fun with them.

The green R models look like ex. St. Germain trucking out of Canada.

1. Mack B75, ED, DE (have)
2. Brockway 359 (have)
3. Mack LTL, LTH
4. Brockway tandem 360
5. Autocar (axle forward)
6. GMC General
7. Peterbilt 359/379
I will probably just stick with what I have because I am out of room and money!

Diamonds were used on this era truck but these are indeed funky. Should have taken a little time to lay out better.
Vin has number two as well. Dogs are backwards!!!
Battery box location is more an R model deal than a B model.
Maybe someone was doing a little kitbashing. They got the sleeper B cab and mounted it on an AMT R model or there abouts.

Hey FT,
It is time to sand the shifting levers and put a little satin black paint on them.
How is it doing pulling the car around?

Boy!! Grants and Caldors....names from the past.
Is it Shop Rite that has a large distribution center on 84 in NY?
Nice pictures!

Hmmmm.....stuff to see here? Nothing happened.....nothing to see...
Yeah, that's my story and I'm sticking to it...
Are any of your friends in 4-H involved with Girl Scouts? How close is their camp area?
When I was a Boy Scout, the Girl Scout camp was a short swim across the narrow end of White's Pond. Just saying...

The Euclid story is in Double Clutch March April 2002. The location of the rig is Oak Hill-Pottersdale PA.
The truck is a 9FFD 40 ton tandem axle featuring twin 6-71 for power. The story concludes with someone approaching the owner about donating it to a museum in Clearfield.
I don't know if the donation happened or not.
I am going to keep looking if there is some more info on this deal.

I went to an auction about 8 years ago and there was a very early DM815 that was hydraulic brakes all the way around. Caught me off guard because you just don't expect to see a set up that way. Belonged to a family that was involved with house moving.

B75 donor cab or floor pan parts
in Exterior, Cab, Accessories and Detailing
Posted
If you folks have the standard "B" cab, there aren't any aftermarket parts that I have heard of.
Donor cabs show up on ebay, craigslist, your neighbors backyard, flea markets, etc., so it is just a matter of searching them out and finding the best you can.
Many things can be made as needed using the old as patterns. Keep in mind that the B75 "B" cab has the sunken floor just as does the B81 series so the floor in a B30, B42, B61 isn't really going to help you out.
If you have the B75 with the "L" cab, most everything is flat material with square tubing underneath for support and will be a little easier to do fab work on and the plywood center section just needs to be cut to fit.
Best as I can say, Jim
