  1. The tube that comes out of the pass side exhaust manifold is leaking at the joint where the tube going to the turbo goes into the manifold. Is the a donut seal there or do you have to replace the tube? This is on a R797. Thanks ,Tim Green

  6. The Cat C-16 put out 2050 ft/lbs of torque. The new C-15 625 HP I think puts out less torque, but I have not paid that much attention. My work truck is a 2000 Peterbilt 4 axle tractor with a C-15 550 Hp,18-speed,3.70's in a 46,000 air trac,Hooked to a 35'Mate tri-axle trailer,Does a good job hauling 45 to 50 ton loads. 7. A shot in the dark, but I would have your trucks Vis-checked.Most Kenworth and Peterbilt dealers have them. They can detect everything from worn motor mounts to spring bushings to loose u-bolts and check the efficiency of the brake system.Peterbilt of Joplin ,Mo charges a fee to do so but does it as a curtiousy if you are getting your truck worked on anyway and they will give you a printout of their findings. 8. Bill, where did you see the B model with the Detriot in it?The one I mentioned the last time I seen it was at the football stadium in Vermillion,SD when the stadium was being built. It had a 4-71 and by then had a dump bed on it but the driver lost the bed off of it and it was just sitting up there-don't know if it made it back to Kansas City or not.Just curious. 9. I am restoring 1959 White Mustang 4264 that had a 477cu inch White gas engine new from the factory, and after running it for a few years, they found that when they were moving a large crane this engine would vapor lock and quit on them. This company then had it repowered with a 6-71 GM diesel and ran it up into the 80s.It sat at their farm for 15 years and was sold to some one else.I bought it from him and have been restoring it for the last 10 yrs. This was the 2nd truck I ever rode in when I was 4 or 5 yrs old.6-71, 5C-72 Fuller,7231 aux.,SLDD Rockwells and Garwood winch.Of course, the first truck I rode in was a B-61 that was also repowered with a GM diesel, but was a 4-71 and had a R.O. crane on it.
