I went back outside- with a flashlight- after I had cleaned up and came to my senses a little bit. I was still going to burn that stupid trash! There was blood all over the ground at the scene of the mishap, one rock about 2 inches across was completely covered. When I took the dogs out the next morning I looked and it was gone except for a couple of drops.

I’m sure the bugs and other critters enjoyed the snack..😂

These fans don’t take too much when they come on, maybe 15hp? The ones on trucks with emissions say 05 to present cost 40hp to run when locked up.

Maybe not even 15 hp when working properly but if u have a fan like mrsmackPaul has that’s always locked on that’s a different story ..

So do I understand that you get 40 hp more over a conventional fan with no clutch

My old bucket of bolts has never had a fan clutch from new, truck always runs cold, even when the air temp is well over 100 degrees on Im on full power  all day

Im always up for more power without cranking up the injector pump

Not sure how much hp they eat up but the way the engine and the truck performs will amaze you, you’ll think your driving a different truck,do it if u can..

I felt the strip in the front like you are talking about. It seems to hardly ever shut off. Engine temp never gets over 180 in dead of summer. My auto mechanics teacher back in the late 90’s taught us to test those fan drives by holding on to the fan blade while someone started the vehicle and as long as you can hold it, it was good. I asked what if it wasn’t good and he said you gotta be quick…lol. don’t think I’m gonna be attempting that trick on this big fan. Gotta run to Mack in morning, guess I might price a new one.

Lol,there’s no reason to hold it just start the truck cold and shut it down, the fan should keep spinning..

Dunno were you get your 303 ammo from

No were near that dear here, my main gun is a numbers matching 303, 1915 model I seam to recall, I brought it as a young bloke, $165.00 with it all adjusted up and tight and with a scope on it

They ballsed up the scope install and put on top instead of the side so I can't drop clips in thru the top any more.

For those that dont know, you dont drop the mag normally to reload the 303, you pull the bolt back and drop the clip holding the ammo from on top

The scope should be on the side to allow this

When I first bought it I could buy x army ammo for 50 cents a round if I was buying I think 500 at a time

I would buy it by 1000

I still have thousands of rounds but switched to hollow points for dropping deer, opens them up like a dinner plate

Has a hell of a bark at 2am, it can be heard miles away on still night, would average about 600 dear over a few months after we harvested the sugar cane

The 303 is a extremely accurate gun and can out shoot nearly all shooters including me, when I was young I was a lot better shot but just dont get the time to put any rounds thru these days

My plan was to remove the wheels first then take off the cone, see what I have, and go from there. I'm not familiar with the greased board method. I can't image how I would move both wheels and tires the hub and brake drum all at once. I don't currently have a cherry picker or gantry crane handy. It has 12.00-24 rubber on it too. Very heavy. But I'm open to any handy tips and tricks. Thanks.

Yup super heavy,if u decide to pull the spoke and drum this is the way to go,brake has to be fully backed off or disconnected, jack it up under the box, remove cone and outer bearings, slide a greased up smooth board under the tires, plywood works best say 16 inches by 4 ft,lower the truck just enough for the tires to contact the board, the spindle should be centered in the hub, give it a good pull and they will slide right off, reinstall the same way,u won’t believe how easy they will slide off and on, Safety First always, good luck..

The air bags rotate the axle when filled. I had a guy do maintenance on the truck and he added oil while air bags were down.  I checked the oil 2 days later while it was still in the shop but I aired up the truck first. When i pulled the plug almost 3litres came out. So i left it there as that's where the axle will be while the truck will be operating.

Ok yeah definitely check them when there level, also I was told to check them hot otherwise the top will leak down and give u a false reading..
