I seen that behind a Kauffs tow truck.

Rowdy-your post regrding hobbies, not having the amount of $ you would like to have is where I'm at. Just today my son said it would be cool to have aproject truck for us to work on. I say H 67, he wants B series. Anyway, I don't have a place to work on something like this. Out of the weather, warm. Also, work has slowed down and the money I WAS making two years ago, just aint like it used to be. Hopefully, things here will pick up soon.
I did see your "choice" of firepower. Nice grouping.
Rob, glad to see one of your projects is running. One down, 88 to go

Morning y'all. I thought I was watching Oprah. Cat fights, sword fights. Like a buch of women. I couldn't get a word in edgewise.
Notice how Rob opened this can of worms---:stirringthepot:
LL-congrats on learning how to drive
Rowdy-will some boxes of shells be a good wedding gift?

Growing up in CT it sure felt like that. Done shoveling and HERE comes the plow.
Got 4x4 Blazer, Dad says"you want to drive a truck, I got two of 'em" Next day calls me come pull him out of snow drift. Wife always drove me crazy. First one not this one.
Course, right now we are just getting over a cold spell. 28 degrees IS a cold spell
But we should be about 80 this weekend.
Oh the Florida life

Not to derail, if a fleet truck is purchased from somewhere, how can I check the maint. history. This is assuming work not done by Mack
Bigen-you have been busting your stones trying to make a living. I hope what ever you get is better than what you have now.

Whatchagit Rob?
Is this an approved business expense?
Is this gonna be MORE crap in the backyard?
Will you be missing Big Jim? Seems you already lost the twins

Them Texas Longhorns will puncture the radiator before they hit the truck.

thats because he lived the thug lifestyle so popular in Chicago politics.
Had to learn the language to talk the deal

I can't resist but was she good looking?
When you're 20 years old-does it really matter
Weren't bad.
One secretary drove past, nice leg. So I asked one of the guards who drove the car. He mentions to her that the garbage truck driver commented on your legs.
ext day she passes me, lets me know it was commando day

Best boots I ever had came from the FCI-Danbury. When I ran a garbage truck, That was an every day stop. Inmate says" what size boot you wear?" Next day he put a box on the side. Lasted a whole year before any problems started to show up. Asked him if they had more, next day, there they were. They made leather gloves there so I never needed to buy. Heavy duty with a 4 inch stiff cuff so the coat sleeve was under.
One day had a large black car ask me ifI wanted to make some money. Would require I brought some "items" into the place. My security check was "Hi Ed, how's things" Had to decline the offer.
Did bang one of the female guards

Snow is expected from Tampa to Orlando to Melbourne FLORIDA
Man says chance of sleet here. I'm just above West Palm Beach.
Home heating is not quite like that up north. We have "heat strips" in the A/C units. Like a toaster. Designed to take the chill off in the mornings. Run hard in weather like this. Older units burn out, house fires, careless use of space heaters (if you can find one)
Could be a loooong couple days here.

Rowdy- just think how bad it could be if they didn't come down here and f-up our roads.
Blue hairs that look between the dash and top of the wheel.
Had one guy stop and look right at me. As I got 6th, he decides to pull out. The jake woke him up when I was about 3' behind. THEN he floored it. To late for me, I had to downshift and chug up the hill. Course on the other side i was behind him at the lite. All he saw in his mirror was bulldog

I don't have the cold weather like all y'all, but, what kind of anti-gel does every one use?
Any other additives that you put in fuel tank?

Location: Florida
Problem: unknown
Take a ride by the landfill and watch the roll-off boxes get scraped with an excavator. It's even better when a compactor box needs SOMETHING, anything to come out. Excavator would drive up, boom exteded, take a couple swipes in side, back out.
Rinse
Repeat
This is from experience in CT

Well I'll be, I thought I was the only one. The first real snow we got I accidentally did a 360 while leaving the house. Later on the day I was getting her sideways. My mom doesn't like me driving in the snow...Party pooper.
LAWRENCE-GET IN THE HOUSE.....NOW.
YOUR GROUNDED

I use a hand operated grease gun. Works every time-no battery issues, no air line issues.
When greasing the boom, you rotate the pedestal to lube the ring gear. Air line would be twisted around me.
Boy needs to learn the hard way before he looks for an easy one.
Sometimes you need three hands to use

That sounds loud. Did you run it down the road like that? Or did you just do that to warm up the fluid and then reconnect it? On a trash truck, I'd imagine the hydraulic oil gets up to temp eventually...so "helping" it along in the morning would be fine. In a dump, though, the pump is only running a minute or two at a time...then it's shut off for a while. The oil never really gets up to temp, and it'll cool off again while you are driving to get your next load anyway.
Didn't really think this thru for your situation. Garbage truck hyd tank was on top. Disconnect AFTER muffler. Did run the truck like that for a while-til sun came up.
Yeah traveling will cool it off.
Alcohol will help you and the truck

That right there is whats wrong in this country.
If I posted that some places, I would be a racist, white supremcist, whatever.
But if a black man writes/posts it (elsewhere) he is a hero to his heritage.
LL, you have already stated your dislike for those that lve this way, and I commend you for that. Just like the n word. Its a term of endearment to the blacks FROM a black. But me, I'd be called cracker, honkey, blah blah. If not shot.
Sorry for the rant, been up since 4:30 am. Time for bed
She's waiting

Rowdy-take off one elbow on your exhaust and put a piece of flex on it. run in to blow on your hyd. tank. Will warm fluid quick.
Did that when I was in CT. running a garbage truck. Out the door at 3 am and its very cold, and dark.
I have also dumped some kerosene into the hyd tank. But that can hurt some seals
Just my .02
Oh we are expecting a freeze here tonite. Don't know if this Florida truck will want to start.

They will smoke like that until cylinders get warm, then you have more efficient combustion.
Thats why many trucks have a block heater. see if your trucks have one or add one yourself. different types out there

Because it's the "Devil Weed". Starts a loooong path down a road of self destruction.
Smoke a little pot, start hanging out with "undesirables", try coke, meth, heroin. In your stupor, you trade with a crack-ho.
Then, you wake up one morning and your unit falls in the toilet.
