  1. too much planning involved. cutting the grass is a pain in the ass to begin with.

    1) where is an outlet?

    2) which cord is long enough?

    3) where to start?

    4) anything in the way?

    5) do i have enough 'lectric tape?

    Mexicans do it cheaper

  2. Monday is now a working day. took care of it today, actually my son did. Wasn't that big a deal. Make sure it was clean and generous amount of silicone. will find out how it holds at the end of the day.

BTW- the o-ring was split. much easier to fit in there on the workbench. again, thanks, Ed

  3. 2001 E7 427

recently had to replace section of exhaust manifold. removed turbo and drain line.

when putting back, I broke the O-ring at the connection to oil fill.

replaced with a # 214? o-ring, but still have leakage from the connection.

    A) is that the proper size o-ring B)can I run a bead of silicone to seal.

Leak is not bad enough to show loss on dipstick, but makes a mess around oil fill to block

    Thanks in advance Ed

  4. Not only the US, but the world has sent money, lots of it, to help improve the area. BUT, the money went to the government and hasn't been seen since.

Thats why countries are looking for contractors to work there. Direct contracts, not involving Haiti goverment.

That country is more corrupt than NOLA, if thats possible. Or maybe thats where they learned.

  5. Yup, thats about how it was. The owners of the property would have made any true redneck right proud.

Didn't weigh it but I guess around 75k gross. Busted concrete. Had a guy with a Cat 938 come over, he got me this far then stood it up on two wheels. Guy with a 950 and in two minutes i was on the road.

The guy in the pic says " Right up on the frame it is."

  6. Snowing here now...i've heard we're gonna get anywhere from 14 to 28 inches :pat: supposed to snow all day and all night :pat:

I got home about 10:30 last night and went by Wal-Mart on the way home because the weather channel said it was going to start early this morning and get real crappy real fast...apparently after midnight is when most of the "people of Wal-Mart" pictures are taken. Store was full of strange looking characters-including me. But at least I wasn't wearing pajamas like some of them were.

I had to abandon my beer at the register because it was after midnight, but i've already made a beer run this morning :thumb:

I think we should get a bus and start off up north, pick everybody up along the way, and drop in to see hatcity for a few days.

Any y'all are welcome to visit.

Matter of fact, I could use a hand with this.

  8. You know ole Rowdy is a working man. But does he work hard or hardly work?

Where you bin? We missed your um- insight on many matters. Yeah thats it.

Whats going on with driving school?

Hows the weather? here we got a cold front coming thru today. Might hit 49 tonite.

    :lookingforheaters:

  9. What time did you shut down the shop? You described two days work at the dealer.

Did the rears have "dust covers"? Some say they keep crap out, all they do is hold crap in.

Making progress, thats a good thing. And you know what to look forward too this weekend

As far as the trans. flush, what did the fluid look/feel/smell like when you drained it?

Diesel or kerosene would work. Just make sure it drains completely. Before refill, waste a little gear oil and pour in and let drain out.
