  1. keep ponderin.............i know what u mean about usin a pintle. we only use lowboy to move the loads that wont go on an elevated trailer so easily. can all ur loads be hauled on trailer w pintle? you know the logical move is to keep killer and add trailer though.................aj

  2. congratulations. i am in the same boat as you, my girlfriend susan and i got married on thanksgiving day in 2011 after dating for 5 years. hey, life is short. i am glad to have found someone that i can live with and be happy as i get older.

  3. I Proposed to my Girlfriend Sarah of 13 years. I just had to give up as she just would not leave me alone. the old saying if you cant beat them, join them.... ( Atleast thats my story )

We spent newyears out in Galena IL with a few friends and I proposed to her last Friday night in the old Grant Park across the river from downtown Galena. Starting a new Chapter in our life and wanted to share.

  4. My little '86 Ranger (complete with 4-banger, 5-speed, 2wd, and 3.08 rear gears) pulled a borrowed 25' flatbed trailer when I moved all of my earthly possessions out of a rented house and into a storage unit. Of course I wasn't wired for trailer brakes, and I had to rig up something that would work with plain wires between the 4-flat on the back of the Ranger to the 7-round on the front of the trailer just to have tail/turn/brake lights. It did pretty well for what it was...

The main thing a lot of people fail to do (and as a result get themselves into the most trouble) is to make the necessary adjustments to their driving in order to compensate for any shortcomings the vehicle may have.

thats a great advantage that truck drivers have over people that only ever drive 4-wheelers------------they probably understand the capabilities of any given vehicle better with their experience behind a vehicle thats capable of hauling a great amount of weight.aj

  5. i have become confused myself trying to figure out the differences in the types of antifreezee available. i wonder if any of this came about when they started making more parts of the engine out of aluminum. we use a "universal" antifreeze at our construction shop that supposedly can be used in all apps. i'll have to check to specs on it. aj

  6. Taurus makes a neat looking .410/45 revolver Tom. I like it cause of the .410 capability. You can buy .410 shells that have a mix of buckshot and small discs. Guess that sounds a lil too gory, I dont want to shoot anybody either, but I guess when it comes to my family, I could mess em up pretty good. randyp

that gun is appropriately named "THE JUDGE".

  7. Unfortunately for me AJT, i'll have to say yes. I sent mine out of town back in April and the guy has not returned my e-mail with a reply as of yet. I'd like to fill the original hole in the roof with what looks original.

    My Luck

  8. The door tag says 12,800...so I was surprised to find the springs were only rated 12,400. I'm still not going to push any more weight up onto the steers than I have been...

....and the Ranger you've seen pics of is my '92 Ranger. It just had the stock suspension until I took a trip out west and the rear fenders were rubbing on the tire sidewalls...so I added 1500# helper springs for the ride home and solved that problem. The '86 Ranger had (still has...but it ain't on the road at the moment) a MUCH stouter spring setup. I'll have to try to find a pic of that old truck...

    ...besides this one. :pat:

that was nice of you to remove fender so we could see springs better.aj
