  1. I remember seeing that truck as a little kid. My grandparents lived across the street from Tilcon. I remember Foxon used to park their trucks on Eastern St. in New Haven, across from Bella Vista now. Anyways, you can only imagine all the different trucks I saw going in and out of Tilcon, back then Tilcon was New Haven Trap Rock. Hi- Ho ran countless trucks everyday out of there as well as Len- Crete and Foxon. When you're a kid you think everything is going to be around forever, I wish I had pics of those days!
  2. I wish someone could post some old New Haven Trap Rock or Foxon Ready Mix pics. That might be a stretch tho.
  3. That 81 triaxel is sharp looking truck. It has a tub body on it. I guess they wanted to use it for hauling the puffy that's left over from the reclaimed concrete. I think it's the only B- model dump triaxel that they ran . All the others where dump trailers. The A- cars had a Sharp paint job on them. I'll post some pics.
  4. Suzio doesn't like to get rid of anything. They actually cleaned up that boneyard a little this year . Just about anything that wasn't a Suzio truck went to another location of theirs . A few years back an import broker came by and wanted to buy most of those B- model's and DM' s, and he was told they weren't for sale . All of they're OshKosh mixers that they run everyday are all well over twenty years old. They have an excellent garage and body shop. Usually a truck will get totally rebuilt by them from the ground up at least twice in its lifetime. They expect to get at least twenty years out of any equipment they buy, but they also take very good care of they're stuff. Could be one of the reasons why they've been in business over 110 years.
  5. There's nothing more despicable then a damned thief! You work hard your whole life, earn a few extras, and some punk takes your stuff . I hope they get them .
  6. That looks like an one of Beards old triaxels. They had few of them . I think they still have a mixer with the same cab . Where did you guys find it? Sweet truck!
  7. a lot of issues going on at Suzio' s lately involving Meriden P.D. If you call them they' 'll let you take pics of anything you want.
  8. Thanx aj. His name is Nicholas. You are right, he is my very first priority. He's the best thing that ever happened to me. He's four months old now. I just dont want to see the truck deteriorate from lack of attention. The little guy takes alotta time.
  9. It has an in-line 6cyl. Its the same 237 hp as the deisel versions. As far as price goes I was asking $4000, but am willing to negotiate. We just had a son and I just cant justify putting the money that it needs into it, when I have the lil guy here. Maybe in a few years I'll find another Mack that I can work on. For now, I just cant do it and feel good about it, and I definately want to see it go to someone that will appreciate it. I can be reached at purepressure2004@yahoo.com for more info.

  14. Welcome. I'm Rob from CT. I always like those CF's. Not many in CT though. A friend of mine is a fireman for the City of New Haven and he bought two pieces. Both are early sixtys. Ones a Maxim and the other a open cab Seagrave. Both are 1250 pumps.
  15. R-Model mirrors are pretty easy to come by without sifting through a salvage yard. Try your local Mack dealer if not Watts will hook u up.
  16. Are certain B models worth more than others? I registerd my B-68 the other day and found there were about 1500 of them built. Would a model with lower production numbers increase value? Obviuosly condition plays a big part, but when almost 50,000 61's were built a 64 or 68 are much more rare.
  17. Mixer driver in central CT. Loves anything Mack or OshKosh

  18. Thanx alot! I'll check definately check it out!
  19. Is there anyone out there that knows where I can get a fuel pump for the EN540 engine or even parts to rebuild it? If I dont start the truck at least every couple of days it seems like the gas syphones back down to the tank, and I have to reprime system. Any kind of help would be great.
