30 years ago I was working at Hagertown Powertrain in the E7 group. Attached is a pic of the first E7 installed in the test cell. In case you don't recognize me, I am the second from the left (behind the lady). Sorry for the sideways pic but it is a PDF and I do not have a full version editor.

Welcome! We like pics.

And the front tire is not what I would consider on-highway.

Roger has a lot of old Macks and may have or know of an air tank.
Did you check with Barry at Watt?

DEF = Diesel Exhaust Fluid (urea). I agree Carl, several years ago a few of us OE guys discussed this issue. Diesel engines were close to meeting the new regs without DEF. But DEF was an "easy" way to meet the regs. I feel the engine OEs will develop technology to meet the future regs without a lot of aftertreatment devices. Neverstar gave it a try but failed (close but no cigar). Time will tell.

Welcome to BMT. Yardo (1958 FWD) is starting to mellow in his old age and bought a fire truck with a Driptroit, otherwise you would catch HEdoubleL for wanting a Driptroit.
P.S. A Series 60 is not really a Driptroit but belongs to the same family.

Mike Mike Mike,
How long you been on BMT and don't know how to post pics? For shame for shame.
At the bottom of the text box, click on the "More Reply Options". Then at the bottom of the next screen is an "Attach Files" box. Click on "Browse" and go to the folder with the pics. Then click "Attach This File". Keep doing this until you get all the files uploaded then click "Preview Post" to make sure the pics were uploaded. Then click on "Add Reply". Simple!

Agree, sounds like a timing issue and you have a good plan.

Thoughts and prayers to Bill and his family. Tell Bill to come to PA in June for Macungie and Mack Museum.

Facebook? What is a facebook? An etch-a-sketch?
Speaking of members...what happened to DoubleClutchinWeasel? Update on Mark Vision 386? I am sure there are a few others MIA.
-
Looking good! When you get that puppy completed, shoot a vid. I want to hear that dog purr!
-
Mike,
Good to hear you are home. Take care of yourself.
If you need anyone to "take care of the dog pound", I am sure you can find help on BMT.

Doug,
Is Don (or another Mack retiree) still at the museum? Perhaps he can set the story straight on the dogs...facing in or facing out? Inquiring minds want to know!

I called and yes the ATHS has contracted with a company to publish a roster of members and members' vehicles. I updated my information, bit the bullet, and ordered the CD version for $34. I thought it would be "nice to have" since it lists the members, location, and vehicles. Likely the CD is copy protected so someone cannot make copies and sell or give to others. As was mentioned, my college alma tomater did the same thing a few years ago.

I will ask the dumb question...why do you need the emissions equipment? Your truck is old enough to be licensed as an Antique or Historical vehicle. I would think because of the age it would be exempt. Of course if you are talking NY....well anything is possible.
As a suggestion, I would first start with your local Mack dealer for retrofit kits.
-
I thought this was answered in another post? Maybe I been napping too long.

What boost pressure are you seeing?
1982 Performance book shows 12-20 psi boost for EM6-250. To change to 275 or higher requires different injection pump/setting, injectors, and turbo.

Post a pic of the dryer and where you think the air is leaking. Is the air leaking from a fitting, spitter valve, or ?????
-
Can you hear air escaping from the dryer? What is the make/model of the air dryer? Bendix has rebuild parts available. Check with your dealer, contact Watt, or a truck parts supply house.
-
Just thinkin'...Vinny did not mention medical or mental hospital. Maybe his wife finally had him committed after buying the last Mack. Remember Mike's post about his wife and buying more Macks? Or he got bit by a rabid "dog".
All kidding aside, I hope it is nothing serious and Mike is back in the Superdog's driver seat soon.
Again, thoughts and prayers going your way!

Fred,
Do you have a copy of the MH Climate Control System manual? If so, anything in there? I do not have my copy handy.
