  1. @67RModel - Thanks for thinking of me.  I don't do faceless book, but the big chrome bumper, chrome visor, and dual straight bologna stacks do NOTHING for me.  But to each their own.  Whatever floats your boat.

As the saying goes "they are only original once" and that is what I seek or something close with no rust.  I inquired about at least 30 trucks so far and the "nice ones" are usually sold by the time I see them advertised.

Anyone in the Savannah GA area to inspect a truck?  Email me.

CH612 inspection and purchase in Savannah did not happen.  I am still looking for a nice 2003 or older CH612 day cab per my original post.  I would consider a NICE CH613 day cab but lose one rear axle and shorten the frame ($$$$).  Most CH613s are high mileage, have a wet line which I do not need, and are "run hard and put up wet".

Expanding my search to include International 9100 and 9200 with CAT or Cummins power.

  3. Selling two (2) new electronic tachometers for non-electronic mechanically controlled engines.  17MT4111 does not have an hourmeter but P2 does have an hourmeter.  These tachs are for use with flywheel teeth (or pulses) of 93 to 213.  The diameter is approximately 3-1/2".  Again, these are new tachometers that cannot be used on an electronic V-MAC engine.  Asking $200 OBO each plus shipping.  Note: the P2 tach has a few small nicks on the outer rim (at the 5 o,clock position) as shown in the picture.

I don't log on often.  If interested, please send email to mhrollhauler612 at outlook dot com.

    Thanks, Ken

  5. Seeking a 2003 or older CH612 in very nice original cosmetic and mechanical condition.  Rust free cab.  Original paint.  Minimum 300 HP.  Engine brake a plus.  10 speed manual Mack or Eaton transmission.  Air bag rear suspension.  A/C.  Dual aluminum fuel tanks.  Maintenance history nice to have.  Current DOT inspection (good brakes and matching rear tires).  Any color other than black.  Send details with asking price to mhrollhauler612 at outlook dot com.  Thanks!

  6. Geoff,

Thanks for the information.  I am not a fabricator but it sounds easy.  The MH guide is similar to one you pictured.  I do not know anyone local that can make the part.  I requested a print from the Mack Museum and then I will search for a fabricator.  Thanks again!

  7. The dipstick guide tube is rusty and broke at the outer support.  The guide PN is 715GB530M and NLA from Mack and no dealers show any stock.  Seeking a decent guide.  Send me an email at mhrollhauler612 at outlook dot com if you have one or know of one for sale.  I plan to be at Macungie.  Thanks!

  8. Thanks for the input.  I decided to dismiss the idea of buying a Pro-link setup.  I mainly wanted the system to check and reset the low idle and road speed.  The extra diagnostic features are "nice to have".  But for the money I will pay Watt's to check/reset the features.  Hopefully less than a Pro-link system.

I did find a free software program from Diesel Laptops but the cable to connect the vehicle to my computer is over $800.  I will pass.

  9. I learned the 804011 (V6.2) is an updated card compared to the 801111 (V6.10).  Will either card work for V-Mac I and II?

Has anyone used the Nexiq Pro-Link Graphiq?  If so, thoughts compared to the Pro-Link Plus?

    Again, thanks for your input.

  10. I have a chance to purchase a card for the V-Mac III.  The card number is 801111.  I saw cards with PN 804011.  Which is the correct card or are both the same?  Will this card work with all V-Mac III engines (199x-2003)?  I don't know what years used the III.  TIA

  11. Thanks Bob for the heads up.  I found a used lamp MANY years ago.  I gave up looking for a backup (new or used).  Looking at the pic from Walmart, it is not even close to either the early or later lamp.

The one posted by @BottleHauler84may be correct but too fuzzy to see any detail.  Perhaps you can get a better image.  My concern would be the wiring and connections.  I am not a fan of "modifications" but I guess something is better than nothing.

Thanks to both for your research and updates.

  12. I would say it is an optical illusion.  The diamond plate fenders hide the tire (top and front).  If you look at the distance from the rim to the ground it looks the same.  The front "drive" axle is not a tag axle so the tires should be the same size.

  13. I was told there will be NO clam bake (buffet) on Friday night.  Instead they are trying to get food trucks/vendors for Dutch Treat food service.  I may only attend on Saturday.

In reality the site is not what it used to be.

Personal politics and political correctness has taken it's toll on this and many other dedicated forums. Coupled with incessant blabbering about nothing, or the same thing over and over really gets annoying and dispatches participation.

Pretty much gone are the crowd whom formerly looked forward to the BMT site as a knowledge base and source of entertainment. This has been replaced by people whom only partipate when they have a problem with no desire to share in the comraderie fostered in the early days. Personal politics and political correctness dealt this and many other dedicated forums a death blow being allowed to fester like an open and untreated wound.

All this is easily verfied just looking back at the membership roster for names and dates of last participation.

Still a lot of nice people here whom try to add but far more solely on the take. It can be better but it needs driven that way and this includes ridding the site of undesirables.

Site moderation with a set of balls hanging on em would be a great first step.

    Thanks Rob and AMEN!!!!!

    Going back to my hole.....

  15. Bob,

Sorry we did not connect and sorry you did not have a "swingin' time".  If I knew you did not have a "pass" you could have borrowed the wifey's.

My 3 cents on ATHS...I been to three (3) shows with the MH and NEVER ONCE did I need to show nor asked for the vehicle insurance or registration.  Interesting!  And don't get me started on the "show rules" and the number of "violations" I observed.  And another thing, I never saw so many "service" dogs as in Reno (even in restaurants and supermarkets).

On the positive side, lots of nice looking vehicles, most an "east coaster" would never see otherwise.

Saw MHfred, Brocky, and 75T.  Also Dave from Keystone Truck Museum.

Make a note, Macungie is always Father's Day weekend (Thursday - Saturday).  Many vehicles leave on Saturday afternoon so Friday and Saturday are the best days to attend.  FYI, there is no spectator fee.

Hope to see you at Watt's show in August.

    Take care!
