Son and Snowflake daughter inlaw came over to show me their $200 Nano anti plague masks, Princess snowflake saw what I was doing and nearly puked in her new mask. 1st good event. Village Mayor and new town constable came over and the constable threw up on the mayor shoes. 2nd good event.
All I was doing was prepping a dozen pigs for their diner dates. Need OD to smoke some up for me. Ended up with a bit over 400 pounds of meat so far.
Here is my bacon and sausage pics. Won't show the pigs hanging around in the cold room being quiet.

I was wondering why you just didn’t order a brand new cab same as it would’ve been a lot easier and a lot cheaper although I do admire all that beautiful work .bob
Think about shipping a new cab on a ship on the ocean, sitting in a port on both sides of the ocean with all that fine salt sea air . In a year or to Vlad would have to do all this repairs any way. Paul

He’s pretty much parting them out to whoever asks nicely... usually if he sells one it’s pretty cheap, a thousand or two or three depending on the truck. But he tends not to sell ‘em whole so much anymore ever since some local kids ransacked his yard and destroyed all the trucks and busses in it, many of which already had buyers that now needed to be refunded... it sucks but if you ask him I don’t know what he’ll say... might be different since they serve a somewhat bigger role in Mack history...
From what I can tell, there’s the white Superliner 2 with a Superliner 1 body that Mack used as a test mule, 2-3 of the inter-factory Ultraliners, one of which may have been a prototype/test mule, and a Vision(?) also owned and operated by Mack.
There a few Bs laying around, some Ls, an MB firetruck, a couple of MB cabs, a small selection of Es, a C, a few CFs, and a small fleet of Rs in different states of disassembly. That’s what I saw today...
Trucks there are constantly coming and going, just today they were parting out a CF because they’re going to take the drivetrain from it and putting it in a roll back. Most of the truck is pretty useless due to the damage sustained that took it off the road to begin with... we got a good many of the good parts off of it for ours and what we didn’t grab we’re either going back and getting in the next few day or someone else has dibs on it already.
Honestly there’s one factory Ultraliner that’s almost complete, and you could fix it the rest of the way up with parts off the other two... I’d like to do it myself, but swap cabs and motor off another one sitting farthest back in his field, because I don’t feel like dealing with a V-Mac system and the other cab is in better shape, but the chassis and drivetrain on the V-Mac one is pretty much complete! Unfortunately I don’t have the time, patience, or money to invest the stuff required to do it... figured maybe someone else would get inspired to do it if I threw the idea out there.

Only 1381 produced I'd start by finding out why it got side lined. V8 issues could be a problem as some parts are a bit scarce.

Many of the early City Spec Municipal MB's had that set up to help driver fatigue.

Who bought it from himes museum on long island ? If he only had it a couple years ? Where was it before? And who bought it it owns it now ?
Dave Merklin of Freeport had it for years in on of his garages. He died in 2015 and the family made sure The Himes Collection got it. It was in sad shape from sitting for years and needed a lot of body work.
Dave was a bit eccentric. I went to his house to look at a 1938 Chevy coupe in 1991. He told me it had a brand new never run late model six in it. It was new when he put it in in 1958 and that was the last hing he did on it. He also had a 1962 Econoline pick up in the garage he parked in 1964.

Paul, my friend has a 55 Chevy and he and another fellow organized a gasser race at NED last year. I believe they are calling it “gasser mania”, and are having at least 3 more races scheduled this year. There is no ET limitation as I recall, I can put you in touch with them if you want. I believe there is a Facebook page for it, but I’m not on Facebook, so I’m not sure. Andy
East Coast Gasser Association put ET and MPH limts along with 4 speeds only , because "that's what real gassers have" . Mine has been a gasser since 1962 and for over 40 years ran a Vitar Clutch Flight.
I don't do facebook but if you could get me the info I'd appreciate it, I'm only an hour and a half away now. Paul

It’s kind of funny being able to say you’ve got 5 pedals when you’re talking to someone who doesn’t quite understand fire apparatus. You always say the other 2 are for the siren and you alsways hear “what’s the 3rd one for?”
I tell people it is a factory installed "car jacking deterrent pedal".

Guys I think if we save enough people they will still be able to pay taxes! Now Thats Important!
Utah Sen. Mitt Romney has a plan he thinks can help: Give every adult in the US $1,000.
“Every American adult over 18 should immediately receive $1,000 to help ensure families and workers can meet their short-term obligations and increase spending in the economy,” a press release from Romney said Monday. “Congress took similar action during the 2001 and 2008 recessions. While expansions of paid leave, unemployment insurance, and SNAP benefits [the program formally known as food stamps] are crucial, the check will help fill the gaps for Americans that may not quickly navigate different government options.”
The proposal to give every adult $1,000 is one of several put forth by Romney to try and address the pandemic causing panic in ALL Americans.

Desperate times require desperate measures and they are holding the short end of the stick with the upcoming election. They aren't too stupid to realize they're beaten before the opening gate.
Saw on MSNBC today that because Republicans only watch Fox that more of them will die than Democrats because only MSNBC, ABC, CNN and HLN tell the true news. The talking heads were elated by that point. Sad how much open hatred there is by certain groups.

Wife works at Walmart. Stupid crazy there, even though there are no reported cases within 100 miles. Empty shelves. Neighbor hauls out of P&G and says it's been stupid over there, too. Loading twice as many trucks as usual, at 3/4 or less of what they typically load in order to get SOMETHING to all of their customers, rather than complete SOME orders while completely neglecting others. Absolutely ridiculous. The governor here just said all restaurants & bars are to be closed at least through the end of the month...sucks for those who depend on those paychecks & tips. Absolutely crazy, considering the common flu kills way more per year. I'm just curious how many businesses are going to go under...how many jobs will be lost...how many homes will go into foreclosure...how many will file for bankruptcy. Hell, even the criminal & civil courts in this state are closed for 30 days...so much for the right to a speedy trial. People are absolutely out of their minds...no reason at all for this level of panic. If this is what happens over something less severe than the common flu, kinda makes you wonder how bad it'd be for something actually seriously bad.
How else can the Lame Stream Media and the liberals turn it into a weapon against Trump and his supporters than hurt peoples livelyhood and kids??

Thanks Paul;
The wheel I have appears to have the same horn button but the bottom is more like an R model steering mast jacket, (larger base circle) where the photo is more like the B series steering column.
I'm going from memory however which is not all that good any longer.....
The O.D. of the MB steering column jacket is close to the B unit maybe slightly larger bit not so it would be noticeable.

With the work you did the cab is in my opinion better than Mack made. Paul

oooooooooooooohhh forgot to mention,,,we spent alotta time at epping when i was a teenager..glad to hear its still there, and not condo,s now lol..bob
Epping is now a 400 mph Top Fuel NHRA Track but still caters to the bread and butter cars. Wednesday night is /was grudge nite run anything from a KIA to full race. Since I'm building 60 houses in Maine it's a 1 1/2 hour ride for me each way. Virginia was 1 hour trip and from Riverhead to E town or Atco when they were open was an all day trip.
I can't run in the Nostalgia Gasser class the way my 55 set up. I run 2.5 to 3 seconds to faston time and 50 plus mph too much.

Could one of you guys post a photo of an original MB wheel? I have a black one in the shop with an aluminum horn button that is black and silver. I don't know what the wheel is from but it is smaller than an R series used although the larger opening than a B series on the bottom.
From my MB sale catalog.

Able to eat through it, all fever, respiratory, sore throat and aches.....
kids had mild symptoms, adults got it handed to them.....
I had a fever of 102.3, lasted 36 hours, broke, returned to work next week for a few days and got hit again with a second fever of 100.5 for 12 hours(w/same symptoms)....
Chest feels heavy like you inhaled a bucket of swamp water...
follow up lung-butter cough/hack for 3 weeks to dissipate....(kids had hardly any follow up cough).
Most of us had flu immunization and it did nothing to prevent or ease symptoms same as the peeps who didn’t have any shots at all......
So if that’s our current seasonal flu, and it was here before all the hoopla started, what (is it) was it?
I'm one of the high risk people according to my grandson. No spleen, one kidney and 6 or 8 feet of intestine all of which abandoned me to live in some zipperheads stew pot. Told my grandson that I wash my heads a zillion times a day in the parts washer, I dislike most people so contact isn't a big issue, cars and trucks are constantly being cleaned before and after use. Most all my food is shot, caught on a hook, dug out of dirt.dried, preserved or butchered and frozen, by me so grocery stores aren't an issue really. Worst comes to worst my M114a1 is also NBC equipped. So I guess unless the local Barney Fife somehow gets in to my property and coughs on me (assuming he survives the mile drive to my house and shop, and the walk to the door through the Basset Hound mines, I should be good to go.

The New Constable is 20 / 22 years old and the son of one of the board members and has zero training in law or weapons. The mayor knew what I was doing and brought him for the specific reason of tossing his cookies.I give the mayor all the feet and knuckles each spring. Some people like them, not me.
Pigs I split from head to tail. Still have half a dozen more come fall. By next month the lambs, rabbits and chickens will be up on deck.
