  1. I was trying to find a top rotator for an E-Tech head..  Mack was not able to find one for me, kept going to the bottom rotator set-up for some reason...  I found a part number....  722GC226...  I need 2 of these, but didnt want to buy from E-Bay until I know this is the right part..  I cant post any pics because i have met my quota and am not able to clean the folder,,, sorry,,, jojo

  2. the e-7 is a different set up. I believe the bolt hole are a different size, the jacobs 690 heads, have a larger hole and the bolts are shoulderd to fit in the hole, and they are metric thread, and the adjuster on the e-6 uses a fork to set jake lash based on turbo type,  the e-7 uses a .015 feeler gauge,  or .017, or .021  depending on the updates that were done to the jake heads,,  and I think there is only 3 bolts holding the e-6 engine brake head down, where the e-7 uses 6......  I'm curious.... This is the system I am familiar with, and Premium Tech Tool..  I have used Nexiq, but never really liked it as much and at times I sucked at it...  The Vocomm 88890300 has worked very well..  I do not own this system, but if you have a fleet or just want to get the best you can get without having dealership authority, I beleive this is it..  I hope we see more opinions, especially from the guys that are still at dealerships... jojo

  4. My first advice is to post pics of it so we all see what you have/ find any shop manuals you can find/ (i just bought 3 Midliner book's, from E-Bay recently)/ here's a big one..... find someone who is familiar with Midliners!!/ next, do youre research on parts vendors/  most of what I have done came from France/ they are very good trucks, and in my opinion deserve respect, but it is hard to get a team of players together to keep it in good repair.. Good luck, and keep in touch... jojo

  5. did you remove the radiator?  I have only done a few, but they were out of the truck, yes I had to remove a bunch of stuff including the front mounted PTO, but when it was done I didnt have to re-do the workand I was able to check condition and to see if it was straight, and then of course the prep work is the most important step..  I have no magic words,  just that...  jojo
