So just the 2 on the offending cylinder lifters and eup rollers .I was thinking of getting all new lifters but that would save some cash ..plan to carry it to the shop Monday hopefully not a long line ahead of me..will report back on everything we find and replace..thank you all for the help

They said to replace all eup rollers fuel lines oil pan gasket and a few other things I cant remember right now..few washers are 54.00 bolts are 60.00 key is about 60.00 

Mack told me 960 cam 360 lifters going to replace bearing along with cam hopefully that will be all I need to replace..anything else you guys usually replace when doing the cam

That's what I'm praying on ..mack gave me a list of 6300.00 parts no labor..

Well picked up another rd last week drove it home 250 miles no problem at all ..engine has a slight tick so carried to the shop to get looked over rocker has play in it.. as my idea of a cost for a repair such as this..don't need a lot of down time with the truck middle of the season..

I need the 1 that opens when you select vent on the control panel outside the truck between the hood and the firewall ..

I need the air box that let's fresh air in the truck ..mounts to the firewall let me know what you got..

2000 rd I put in 4oz not problem in a year ..

Anybody have a source or part number for the rubber mounts front and side..most time I get off to late to go to dealer and would like to order online if possible..thanks

Yes I understand that that's why I said I may be  asking a bite much out of it but on a different note I also have a freightliner with a 280 Cummins 9speed 68000 gets 6.5 no problem at all.... but I believe I got more when I first got the mack just can't remember I usually keep up with this stuff to check back on ..I've talked with mack about a little bump in power they say if mack approves of it I think it was like 179.00 to hook it up..but for the most part I'm loving the truck looking at 1 more 2000 now..

Run 68000 most times filled up 90gal had to refill after 450 miles 5mpg 90 gals..

My other truck rd690 e7 400hp 8ll

Gets 6miles to gal.and empty its 3000 lbs more the the 688s..am I asking for to much with the little hp..new air filter going to change fuel this weekend ..going to get valves sets check fuel pressure anything you guys can help with ..thanks..

Ended up being both injector and eup replaced both runs great now..number 1 cylinder 

Update on e7 ..number 1 injector hung wide open ..picked up parts Friday hopefully ready to go monday

Ok little update today..mechanic cracked all injection lines all are pumping fuel last 4 cylinder are cold ..towed to his shop going to put a test ecm on see what happens may put manifold and turbo to see really what the cylinders are doing ..hopefully ecm will fix the problem 

Not to sound crazy but could someone tell me how and where to check the pressure this is my first Mack..never really messed with them before..ive put a turbo on it bout a month ago that's it lol..thanks 

Driving the dump truck today out the blue starts to smoke white smoke skipping running rough..tried the codes i get 6/6 fuel control module but if that was the case would the truck run at all..how can I check the injectors..it has the eup injectors as well as the others i guess is a good way to word it..

Ok guys went had both my dumps rd688s and rd690 a.c. service 688s blows but not the best 690 does not blow cold at all..both was charged and checked by a shop so I'm thinking that the units are dirty and need cleaning from dust and whatever else..so my question is where do I start and what do I need to remove. To clean the evaporator coil..

When I'm driving temp goes to about 185 190 when I stop in less then 5min.later it's under 180  maybe 150 ..any idea I'm thinking someone took the thermostat out ..
