  1. ok guys I have a 2000 rd688 e7 . I changed the water and antifreeze bout yr or 2 back . checked it now it's rusty so I open the drain on the oil cooler nothing comes out . so I pull the thermostat housing and the water is bubbling like crazy ..why I have no idea the truck is cold .. any help would be appreciated I have a video but can't seem to load its to large I guess
  2. when my truck did that I just changed the shocks problem solved try to push your wheels from side to side shouldn't be able to if so your shocks are bad mines would get the truck to wobbling scary

  4. I unplug the sensor on the top of the oil filter light hasn't been back on yet no oil in the plug plug looks great going to try a new sensor see what happens thanks guys will keep you informed

  7. I just did about the Samething as you I purchased a excavator but I got my gladhand kit from anything trucks haven't Installed it yet but seem to be everything I need bunch of good videos on YouTube I just need to figure out the trailer wiring now before the gladhands
  8. when I unplug the oil sensor on top of the filter shouldn't the shut down light come on or shut the truck off sorry 2000 rd688 e7 400 my shut down ligh. comes on randomly and shuts down sometimes not all but fires right back up I've changed water level sensor water is full oil is full I could really use some help I haul asphalt for a living and I'm afraid it might shut down not start back up thanks
  9. ok guys my shut down light got where it comes on when I hit breaks hard at a stop or if I have to stop suddenly I changed the water level sensor still no change . what can cause this where should I look every now and then it shuts down but only when I'm stopping both tanks are full thanks guys
  10. 2000 rd688s e7 400 hp Eaton 8ll transmission truck is a great truck works everyday I have a new truck ordered and don't plan to deal with drivers anymore I've had enough rear bushing will need replacement soon truck has new floats on the front new clutch and flywheel demolition body with high lift gate I've replaced the turbo yrs ago and 1 eup everything else has been basic maintenance done I'm asking 40000 cause Bushing will need replacement there not walking but I feel a vibration or bump in the rear and a pay attention to the Rear-end
  11. I replaced the vent a while back that could have been the problem it was leaking before I got hit but I was thinking it was the side cover

I see my bushing are about gone or gone I feel a little vibration I'm sure it's coming from the rear I was hit in the side front to back about 8 months ago and I could see where the spring had hit the saddle it was put on the freak machine and alignment machine was told in spec but I see the bushing the rear is moving back and forth not alot but it's there all tq rods was replaced bout a year ago is this a tough job or can be done at home with normal tools if possible I'd like to replace with greaseable set up
  13. ok guys looking my truck over I see the grease is coming from the seal that's behind the big nut holding the rear yoke in the rearend is this something I can do or need to be done by shop I know on my race care it helps with the lash specs but not to sure on this
  14. yes sir mack rears just trying not take them off miss work before I get some to swap out
  15. 2000 rd688s anybody have a good part number I'm trying to order some online but wanna be sure I get the right parts mack said they couldn't give out part numbers imagine that 😳

  17. anybody have the part number for the oring that goes in the side cover on the mack rearends driver side cover 4 bolts I'd really appreciate it means has developed a little leak thanks guys
  18. up date I wanna Thank You Guys your so amazing and helpful I took the plug from the bell housing and pulled on it like Joey Mack told me and It was hard to pull cut the tape on the wire loom so I could feed it back to the top beside the motor I pulled again and the connection was easy to pull side ways 1 out the 2 wires had been repaired before and came apart I clean everything up striped the ends twist them together just to check see if that was the problem and boom fired right up code light is off I truly appreciate each and every one of you for your thought suggestions and help especially Mr. Joey Mack which has been in contact with me through messages I still have other stuff I need done mr.joey Mack I have your information and will still be in touch to get you to work on other things on this truck soon again thank all of you guys
  19. that was me truck has been in the shop guy ran into me and bust my fuel tank

  21. I'm kot sure but it ran fine for a few weeks after it was installed they could have damaged the wire installing the new stuff they removed the fuel tank and everything on driverside
  22. I'll check that this week it runs with the sensor out unplugged at bell housing I hadn't thought of a bad wire or plug I did spray the plug with brake kleen to clean it out when I installed the new sensor
  23. e tech I believe it's computer control it has the sensor in the side of the bell not front I had a shop replace the clutch and flywheel
  24. yes tech and mph works speedometer and hr meter does not work it stopped a while back
