Sorry can't come up with anything. Even tho l have owned both models. '83 & '84 359, '70 & '74 MB, and '77 R The MBs had a small piece of flat stock screwed to the top of the door panel. lt wasn't very big just enough to get your fingers behind it to close the door or help getting in or out. l think drivers removed them so you wouldn't hit your elbow while turning the steering wheel. Look at the far side and you can see it just over the shifter knob ....Hippy -
