  1. there is more KW cabovers down here than any where else in the world I think, they are ok as a truck, limited room a little bumpy, but they are great for hard to get to spots, especially when backing a B Double (25ft A trailer an a 45ft B trailer) around a 90degree corner into a dock. I was told a while ago that the USA were going to be trialing B Doubles soon and Freightliner were doing a new cab over for the trials over there, I could never find any more info tho. Grant
  2. yep I second this. snap it up before it ends up down here. its cheap, its a mack e9, its only been sitting 2 years, mine sat for 15 and i drove them home. go get it. it will be all ways worth 8 or 9k up there but atleast if you go get it and park it up with yours you can then make a better decision on keeping her or selling her later on. 7. all in time, it all has a procedure and you cant do this before that, then you cant do that before you do something else and some days you will probably go out there and just look at it like a stale bottle of piss wondering what to do I have been on mine since feb 2008 and it has gone from a driving truck to stripped and back together again. have spent over 50K and havent rebuilt the motor, box an diffs! 11. Hello, um it will be fine, thankyou. had to move it forward as the hood hit the radiator so there is something differant with mounts. nothing the laser cutter coudnt fix. have done all the airlines today, it starts with the button now and all brakes work and the sr1 valve functions correctly to. am onto the wiring now. what is the terminal for on the back of the pump? is it part of the dynatard? if so do I wire up the 4 dynatard solenoids and this as well? and how many engine temp gauges does a truck with an 866 have? 1 or 2? Grant
  12. Hi, cab is on. finally. it went on, it came off a heap of times. had to make new brackets and move cab forward 3.5inches, R600 mounts must be differant to R700? hood was to short and hit the radiator. will hook air up today and I should be able to start it with the the button. Grant
  13. Hello, thankyou for the response. I was putting 8.25s on to go to the 295 tyre. I went and checked out the front axle yesterday that I took the buds off, it has shorter arms off the stub axles, they sat behind the rim where the arms on it now are past the rim and near the tyre. hopefully they fit, the axle I have is from a 1975 F and the hubs came of a 1990s CH Grant
  14. hello, does any body know the rim off set for a steer axle? I have ten stud hubs on front and a rim off a kenworth wont fit as there is only a 1/4 inch gap between tyre and outer tie rod wich is a bit close I thought. Grant
