  1. I found an other B and a different view of white & black one, I think it is a 70 series but I wasn't able to check any vin numbers.
  2. I like old trucks no matter what condition they are in. Figured you guys do also. I came across these in and around Butte a while ago. A couple B's and a AB, I believe.
  3. Why Downgrade.. That's a good question. LOL. . The company I work for has 5 MACKS, (3 RD'S & 2Granites) but they are all 5 axle end dumps. They keep me in a tractor. I guess so I can keep the 5th wheel greased up from switching back and forth and back again from side dump to bellies to lowboy. Ha Ha..... I drive their KW but I have my two bull dogs in the shed at home.
  4. I have been running a KW T800 for quite a few years. It is a good truck, set up with heavy specs for construction. But this time of year when there is a heavy frost or skiff of snow on the roof and the sun is shining, I sure miss my superliner or any R model. The R cabs have gutters around the roof and keeps that melting stuff from running down the windshield...
  5. I have looked thru MACK Model B books that have photos of lots of different B's and have every B model listed and state the number produced and years produced in. I don't recall seeing a B85. I always understood that B70's & B80's series had the longer hood, and B80's had square or flat fenders. But I have seen photos in "wheels of time" and some truck papers of B models (fire trucks or that once were fire trucks), they are listed as B85's. They are definitely B models, but have round fenders and short hoods..... Was a B85 specificly and only a fire truck? Or a miss print?
  6. Thanks. No the B has not worked since the late 80's. I picked it up in 2000 and slowly started tinkering on it. It could still work, but it just stays in the shed most of the time.
  7. Hello again, I feel more comfortable running a dozer or truck, than I am doing this computer thing. I find it easier to operate a truck with 2 shifters coming out of the floor,( or like my B, 3 shifters. that intimidates people when they see 3). Most of my picts are on prints, so I will have to scan them sometime. I'm going to try and send this one of my Superliner and B71 along side one an other.
  8. Hi there. I'm Mike. I live in western Montana. I hauled logs with my '82' Superliner. It has been parked in the shed for a few years, I am going to try to make it look 'parade' ready again. I also have a 1955 B71st. It has had only one owner before me. It was a log truck also. I like old cars, trucks, tractors, gas pumps, etc. I am glad there are others that are into old iron too.
