  4. that r jones pulled up next to me on 355one day about a year ago while i was going up to mundeline and i about tapped da car in front of me !! it looked like it just rolled out of the dealer.it is a very beautiful truck that blue and chrome really pops in the sun

  6. hey how about greco construction and rossi they were mack i think too.at one time boughton material had old b81 from greco they unded in the pit to move the cruchers aroun "downstairs'i know its not a r but it was awesome!!a guy in kankakee has a sweet r model for sale in the truck paper 85new clutch and engine gone thru its a 300.tryin to talk my bossinto buyin it for pullin the dump.my wife asked me why i love those r models so much nad i said they were like her built heavy dutyso you know THAT went ovr well LOL
  7. that McCook pit was and still is a nightmare!and a lot of those in there dont under stand english.was on one of our jobs in oakbrook and saw the harrys truck drive by with our stone 4 times!!! while i unloaded equip.man our foreman was pissed!!

  13. 2 companys here in Joliet who had r models are diamond const and p t ferro ferro just sold his last r models last year and think d construction of coal city still has 1or2runnin around

  16. I loved the frameless bulbils i pulled never worried about tipping over then da boss got a 1/4 frame derizen and then a 1/4 frame r/s it was junk hoist area kept cracking so kept the 01derizen

Yea miss those good old r and superliners and rd s don't forget those heavy derizen trailers love this thread and all those nice pics I drove a78 with the 2 stick and 88with the 12speed still see the 88around the an01 rd now an 05 granite should live in the now BUT those old dogs. That's when work was fun! Lol

  19. hell yea wallly boughton had very nice r models!!!and where ALWAYS clean his ch macks he has now are nice .he was a hell of a nice guy everyone at boughtons is and still are.shame wally passed away
  20. yep ur right 57brt .no stupid relay that when it goes out you cant start it.no ecu used to carry spare throttle spring and off yougo and get the work done.if the door panel raddled you tighten the screw with a phillips screw drivernot no push pins that rip out man to be a kid again and drive those r s on a job site.
  21. remember when here in joliet tj lambrecht had all the r models.seen them alot when they expanded the green valleylandfill.hauled alot of clay into there. harrykuhn of west chicago had r models too i think.and i think jack gray of gary ind had alot of brokers with them
  22. i see the pj and strak trucks in joliet all the time.i drive an 05 granite and it aint as sharpe as an r rd or superliner.remember all the r models emil siebert had. thy d pull the hill at 75th st and rt 53 loaded from bc and it would be a smoke fest!
