  1. loosen the clamps and rotate them if possible.
  2. agreed on the jakes. and more parts to wear and replace for less effective engine braking.
  3. correct, but the ECM only knows what the gearbox output speed sensor tells it, so modifying it's "pulse" to be slower than the standard 16 or 14 tooth pulse wheel at normal operation will allow you to trick it. using a gps for true speed after that is all you need.
  4. engine wiring harness too. check for oil at your EECU. oil goes through plug cause it's in a bad place and travels to computer.
  5. do u do head tension .to 220ft/lbs. we had Mack instruction to do 205ft then re-tension after road test. now it's just 220ft at last pull. power leash is a good easy setup after you've done a few.

  7. definitely driveline related? I reckon engine flutter, we had a really bad run of injector tubes/orings on mp8s in Australia. if you make it really lug, make it flutter/vibrate as much as possible, the loosen off your fuel filter. if the fuel squirts out, its orings... combustion in fuel system. however, usually comes with hard starting.

  11. 6-4 is a link 1939 fault.check power your ecu from the fuse on the firewall panel(outside) the must be 3 power at the j2 engine ecu plug. pins 10 22 and 41.
  12. what side is your ecu on, exhaust or inlet side.

  18. if it cranks hard and fast but doesn't start check your fuel pump. common fault to spin the plastic gear off the shaft. will hand pump all day but won't fire,
  19. hold the rack open as you crank.
  20. I'm after a computer so I can get my new business started. read Mack fault codes, re-program, adjust parameters. aftermarket or genuine, any help please.

  22. there was a mod in Australia where we put a "shuttle valve" in the bleed lines to the header tank. as the engine was turned off it would force coolant into the tank from engine overflowing it and then losing coolant. as it cooled down you would be low on coolant.
  23. DEF are a big problem, we learnt to replace pump unit, and dosage as a pair. the first 24volt ones
