  1. I have to look, I have a bunch of pics of stuff when I worked there in 2007.
  2. I received your money in the mail yesterday evening. Package is ready to go out tomorrow morning. Wish me luck!

  3. My wife said your package came. I'll send it off when I get back tomorrow.

  4. I struck out at the post office. UPS is quoting $35.75 for ground. I'll need payment and a shipping address if you want me to proceed. Sorry for the delay!

  5. I have my 1966 Freuhauf 40ft SS box on the road in NY State with a Maine plate. Last year I bought the trailer from a freinds father who is a hay and shavings dealer/trucker down the road from my house here in Central NY. Trailer didnt have a title, but he could put it through his dealership on the road in Maine. The registration is good till 2014 now, and that registration becomes the title now since its that old. Another friend of mine has a 2009 PJ 40ft gooseneck on the road through Maine also. Here's the phone number for Maine DMV: 1-207-624-9000 ext52151. I dint get to do any of the footwork for my trailer, the dealer I got it from did it, cost about $75?? bux and was in my hand in less than a week. Impressive. Im pretty sure a "commoner" could do this too. My DMV here in Herkimer County is awesome.. no female Newmans, i never have problems and... theres a few good looking gals there too!! ;}
  6. On my 79 R Model I need to get the low air pressure switch and buzzer working, hoping to take my cdL soon with it, so this has to be fixed. Ive had it 4 years now and it never worked. Where is the l.a.p switch located?? I see a switch just above the steering shaft/column, and now it hits me as its dark out that it was unhooked, and might?? be it. Any news will be great.
  7. Ive been experiencing brake light troubles on my 79 R. The lights work when I hold the pedal on hard for a long time, but not when I just set my foot on the treadle lightly. I put in a new pressure switch, it worked good for a while with light foot pressure, then quit again making me have to stand on the pedal to get the lights to come on. There's always power at live side of switch, its not intermittent, all wires look clean. Brake light switch is a newer deal so i took it apart and nothing inside, no dirt etc. Put it back on and the lights came on with light foot pressure again for as long as they feel like. Go to a show or drive, and soon enough I gotta stand on them again to make them come on. The lights work with the Trolley Valve like a snap. Anybody go through this before?
  8. As long as they dont rust away they will. Way too many macks met this fate long before they mechanically kicked the bucket..IE: New York State...
  9. Id like to run my vin number on my 79 R Model to check out its history, is it the Mack Museum who I contact to do this or Mack itself?? I cant remember.
  10. Looking at just about EVERY pic of an R model interior in the 1970s, is there any other colors that were available other than tan from the factory?? My 79 is tan, and it *seems* like every other stock interior was this color too. Any info??
  11. I must not be looking in the right places, but I cant seem to find any chrome battery box covers for my 79 R, im prolly just not looking at the end of my nose close enough. I saw a set of them at Harford PA Sunday on a truck, but couldnt find the owner to ask him. Any info??
  12. Pretty awesome!! My R Model has the air start tank like that one, but it isnt air start.
  13. Are you talking about the green 1979 U model with the airfoil?? My Mack R was there, it was the white and red 1979 crammed between the two yellow bombers, my freinds trucks. Did you see the 1980 DM600 shortened up to a "U" model. I had to do a double take on that one.
  14. I looked at a "1973" R685 and 20 ft dump trailer today I saw in a kinda local classified ad. Sadly there was no title/registration on the Mack, but the owner said it was a 1973. What year did Mack start using the cab with the 3" pushed out back?? My 79 has this, and more plastic in the interior too. The Mack I looked at today had the steel dash and smaller cab, wouldnt that make it 1972 and older?? Also, it had aluminum planetary top casings and round axle tubes, mine has cast iron housings and square tubes. Were these both 38000 rears or were the aluminum toppers lighter??
  15. Here's a good question: How about New York State?? I cant find ANY good information on our lovely state if we need a CDL to run historical plates. Anyone have any info??
