  1. I maybe getting confused here and I maybe thinking of 1976  ?? Mack had a different red white and blue back ground

Have tried Googling it but all Google comes up with is 400 years of African American slaves

I cant blame Google as it wasn't around 76 and it might not of beeb 76 anyway

  2. I am getting new seats for Mrs Mack and am splurging far more than I should so figure if Im gunna get strung up for spending with out seaking permission I might as well make it worth my while

In for a penny in for a pound so to speak

So the seats Im getting come in two fabulous colour choices, black or black

I have asked about getting them retrimed in a colour better matching the interior of Mrs Mack  and  was going to have vinyl surrounds and cloth inserts

Was thinking about getting the period correct Mack logo embroidered into the back rest

Mrs Mack is 1980 ish ? Depends which plate you read it off

So my question is, what logo was correct for 1980 ???

Havent settled on just a dog as thats pretty common and Mrs Mack is anything but common

    Thanks in advance

i would pull the lock, set the trailer brakes and try pulling away easily. it may pop loose.

I have used a crow bar on jaws to pop them open on grease plates (fifth wheels) that have been a trailer sitting for decades

If you hold the handle out with a chain block or come along, so the fifth wheel cant relock and then as said, apply the trailer brakes and work it back woulds and forwards it will no doubt release pretty easily

  4. Came across this the other day

Some might find it interesting,  if you do watch it read the comments and it will give you some idea on just how badly we treated our troops from Vietnam

Our veterans have given us the freedoms we enjoy today, people poo poo Vietnam and Korean wars, what people fail to realize is that we may very well be communist countries today as these unpopular wars really put the brakes on communism

Have a look if you like

I still have trouble coming to terms with the way we treat our veterans and their families, it still isnt anywhere near good enough in my opinion for what its worth

Keep your eyes on the truck for a minute - we're throwing back to 1980 for a bitchin' Autocar A64HD, with its super-groovy paint job. Also gracing the photo is Suzy, who was actually a manager at the Autocar plant before becoming a top dealer salesperson. #ThrowbackThursday #TBT

  6. Well if they are running true on the spider (spokes) it must be out of balance

This February just gone I heard a big bang and thought nothing if it, was heading up to see my son in north QLD

Got to Ayr and noticed that a stud had broken  and of course the wedge was missing

Wheeled Mrs Mack into the only truck supply place in town and bought a wedge and stud

The wedge wasnt the right one and was at least twice as heavy as the old Gunite ones Mack used

It wobbled pretty bad then so I went straight to Mack at Townsville and ordered the right one and some spares

Had tp wait over night but what a difference

Also the rim had moved on the spider in less the 90 km's

I reckon there wouldn't have even been half a pound in weight difference in wedges but it was worse than driving with out the wedge

My point to all this rambling on is that it doesn't take two tenths of bugger all to feel something out of balance in you steer tyres

If you have a piece broken off there's a fare chance that might be part of the problem

  7. I came across this a couple of days ago

Since it appears many Americans dont even realize that Australia had troops in Vietnam

Come to think of it many young Americans probably don't even know that the U.S. had troops there either

Anyway, this was made in 66
