  1. I DID NOT LIKE WHEN DRIVER "BONE CRUSHER" ASKED... IS IT A VOLVO-MACK OR A MACK-VOLVO??? HOPE THE TITAN WORKS GREAT. IT WAS ALSO A MACK EPISODE IN THE WAY THEY PRAISED AND TALKED GOOD ABOUT MACK TRUCKS. PELLETIER INC. WAS BUILT ON MACK TRUCKS AND THEY RECOGNIZED MACK TRUCKS TO BE TOUGH AND EASY TO REPAIR. I LIKED THE PART WHEN THEY PLACED THE OLD DM CAB AND HOOD OVER THEIR RESTAURANT AND THEIR MACK CS TOW TRUCK!!!!

  2. HELLO TO ALL MY FELLOW MACK TRUCK ENTHUSIASTS. HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR 2010.

    TODAY I RECEIVED THE NOTICE THAT MY LAID-OFF PERIOD IN MY CURRENT JOB WAS CONVERTED TO AN UNEMPLOYED STATUS. I WILL NOT COME BACK TO THE JOB SITE. MY CONTRACT WAS NOT RENEWED.

    I AM GOING TO STUDY AND APPLY FOR A GOVERMENTGRANT FOR STARTING OR MAKING MY OWN COMPANY. THE EXPERIENCES AT MY PREVIOUS JOB (MUNICIPAL GOVERMENT)LEAD ME TO AN IDEA FOR MY COMPANY.

    I WANT TO START A FLEET MANTAINANCE COMPANY.

    I NEED TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF TRUCKS WILL I NEED TO DO ON-SITE REPAIR SERVICES.

    ANY HELP WILL BE APRECIATED.

  3. Lets hope the MP10 holds up and doesnt give them any problems. If they specked an all Mack drive line the engine will be the only thing to worry about

    Does anyone know when these new Titan episodes will air?

    I hope they spec the trucks with all MACK POWERTRAIN. In the pictures of the PEELETIER BROTHERS looking how a MACK TITAN is built they are lowering an MP10 onto a CHASSIS and the back part of the transmission looks like a MACK TRANSMISION (3 PTO MOUNTING POINTS) I hope this is one of their truck.

    On other ponit..

    Will this truck be SCR equiped units???? If they indeed are SCR EQUIPED TRUCKS, the series will also be a kind of testing ground for the SCR system. Lets see if DEF really gets frozen in lower temperatures.

  4. It says one of the episodes will focus on MACK TRUCKS DEALER delivering the trucks to the Pelletier brothers!!!!

    They had have MACKS on the past and on the TV show we saw few of them like the MACK DUMP trucks and the MACK truck that load the logs onto the trucks.

    Will MACK TRUCKS INC get some TV adds during air-time of the series?????...

    This is the kind of show where a truck like the MACK TITAN needs to be prompted. Hope the new TRUCKS (MACK TITAN) do an excelent job there and drivers take good care of them. Lets see how they stand against the Westernstar trucks they commonlly use.

    For the engine it has (small displacement MACK in-line 6 cylinder), that MACK truck is making an excelent job. She is 17 years old and took controls of that awesome SUPER RIG. You got to give her a chance to improve her skills.

    I would do anything to drive one of those MACK SUPER RIGS.

    Go UNLEASHED!!! bite them all.

    IT WILL BE NICE TO SEE THE POTENTIAL OF A HIG HORSEPOWER BUILT MACK E9 ENGINE ON THE DRAG RACING SCENE. I GUESS THAT A DRAG RACING RIG BUILT WITH A POWERFULL MACK E9 ENGINE WILL RUN GOOD. (WE HAVE A DRAG RACING MACK TRUCK HERE IN PUERTO RICO NAMED DUMONT TRANSPORT. POWERED BY A MACK E6 ENGINE IT CAN RUN 11.83 SECONDS ON THE 1/4 MILE. ON AUSTRALIA THERE IS A MACK TITA BUILT FOR DRAG RACING WHO IS SUPOSSED TO HAVE RUN AN 11.61 SECONDS PASS ON THE 1/4 MILE WITH MACK E9 V8 POWER!!!!

    BANDAG TITAN. DRAG RACING RIG POWERED BY A 2,000 HP MACK E9 ENGINE. WITH 2 TURBOCHARGERS.

  7. Well.. Being from good ol' PUERTO RICO I do not ever and I mean ever had the chance to see this kind of SUPER RIGS or HOT HOT ROD SEMIS.Mainlly because here we built BIG RIGS for DRAG RACING. But I have to say that the most powerfull DIESEL ENGINES are built for the HOT ROD SEMI /SUPER RIG SERIES and other categories.

    I noticed the power of the MACK E9 ENGINES used in TRUCKS on all this classes. There is a truck driven by GREG DEAN named BAD DOG wich they claim put 5,000 HP out of the awesome MACK E9 ENGINE. This V8 MACKS are powerfull and blow my mind. But my jaw really dropped when I knew about that BLUE MACK R truck named UNLEASHED. Powered by a SMALL DISPLACEMENT MACK IN-LINE 6 CYLINDER DIESEL ENGINE with only ONE TURBOCHARGER. (TRUCK ENGINE!! /they only call it "MACK 400" engine) I have to say this one is my favorite. The UNLEASHED TRUCK of RODGERS' REPAIR SERVICE is driven by KENDRA RODGERS who is 17 years old. And the most atonishing fact is that thi MACK is a crowd favorite in the classic battle of DAVID VS GOLIATH the little MACK can take out some of the competition trucks that use BIG DISPLACEMENT (1150 cid) CUMMINS QSK19 (Truck engine?) with 3 turbochargers.

    So MACK MAKES IT MACK SHAKES IT.

    UNLEASHED. It sounds so good, so sweet, so MACKNIFICENT!!! Take that CUMMINS!!!

    SPECS. MACK R-SERIES TRUCK. POWERED BY A IN-LINE 6 CYLINDER SMALL DISPLACEMENT MACK ENGINE (THEY CALL IT MACK 400 ENGINE)THIS TRUCK MAKES THE CROWD GO WILD. THEY SHOW THEM THAT THEY DO NOT NEED A BIG DISPLACEMENT 6 IN-LINE DIESEL ENGINE LIKE THE CUMMINS QSK-19. THATS WHY THEY STATE "MACK MAKES IT, MACK SHAKES IT" AND IT SOUNDS SO SWEET...THAT CHARACTERISTIC MACK TRUCK SOUND.

  9. HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF A NICE MACK SUPERLINER FROM PUERTO RICO. WE LOVE MACK TRUCKS AND THEY WORK HARD. NEVER STOP WORKING. I RATHER BUY THIS :mack1: THAN ONE OF TODAY'S ELECTRONIC NIGHTMARE TRUCKS LIKE INTERNATIONAL'S PRO-STAR SERIES.

    The first video is a complete demonstration of the BEST :mack1: at the 2009 DIESEL NATIONALS. This is C.J.O CONSTRUCTION CORP 2002 :mack1: GRANITE E7 460. Is a complete SHOW and WORK truck. It is outstanding the amount of chrome it has. People can not beleive they use that truck to haul asphalt.

    And now a PHOTO VIDEO about TERRASA CONCRETE CORP wich has an all :mack1: fleet including some nice :mack1: RD tractors and :mack1: GRANITE AXLE BACK and :mack1: DM concrete mixers!!!

  11. volvo haters and Mack lovers take heart. From the volvo web site year to date volvo sales 3986 units and year to date Mack sales 4240 units. volvo brass do you get the message. This go around instead of dropping Autocar White/GMC etc. Why not drop volvo and push Mack. Just to clarify these stats are for the North American market.

    Uhhhhhh something is missing.

    VOLVO SALES- 3,986

    MACK SALES- 4,240

    TOTAL- 8,226 TRUCKS SOLD BY AB VOLVO GROUP (OWNER OF THE MACK TRUCKS BRAND)

    ON THOSE 4,240 MACK TRUCKS SOLD, VOLVO GETS A PROFIT.

    AND THEY TOTAL 8,226 VOLVO DIESEL ENGINES /CHASSIS SOLD TROUGHT THE VOLVO (D SERIES) AND MACK TRUCKS (MP SERIES) BRANDS.

    DON'T THINK THAT BY A MERE 254 UNITS VOLVO IS LOOSING IN A BIG WAY.

    WE SHOULD KEEP FAITH IN BRAND NEW MACK TRUCKS NO MATTER THEY HAVE VOLVO ENGINES. SPEC THEM WITH AN ALL MACK POWERTRAIN COMPONENTS. AND DO NOT FORGET ABOUT THAT RUMOR THAT MACK TRUCK CABS WILL BE REPLACED WITH VOLVO CABS IN A NEAR FUTURE.

  12. I agree with Dave-why not here? I am working on a review/technical article on the famous E9 engine with the help of several engineers from the Hagerstown engine plant. I am planning to visit the plant at the end of September and should have something written shortly after that. I do have some material organized already on the development of Mack V8 engines but very little on the E9.I have not yet decided on a complete review of Mack V8 engines or to just focus on the E9.

    You shoul get in contact with DALE FRANCIS of FRANCIS ENGINNERING in Leroy, Ohio so we can get knowledge on how to built and modifiy MACK E9 engines for competition.

    We got 2 here but we do not know anything on how to tune them to make up to 2,000 HP!!!

    On your technical article about the MACK E9 V8 engine just remember to mention how these engines are modified and make from 800 HP all the way to 4,000 HP!!! Mack E9 is a dominant force on the HOT ROD SEMI /SUPER RIG SEREIES.

    There is an AUSTRALIAN truck that was built for drag racing named BANDAG TITAN (MIGHTY MACK for some cases) this race truck is for sale and its best elapsed time on the 1/4 mile is 11.61 acordig to Owner Adam Gafiero. The BANDAG MIGHTY MACK was retired they say because "lack of sponsorship".But to me they retire the truck because with just one MACK E9 engine (2,000+ HP) it was superior then the other truck the BANDAG team has, the BANDAG BULLET wich uses 2 V8 DETROIT 8V92 engines to get the same HP the MACK has with one engine.

  15. claro que si nazario ya eso esta en agenda a ver si cojo par de ideas pa mi camion pa ponerlo super nickelao pa llevarlo pa los eventos como ese!!!!!

    Aqui mismo en este foro para camiones MACK hay un link donde venden accesorios cromados para camiones MACK, como estos cab insertts para cubrir las lineas de molde en la parte trasera de la cabina. No es papel de aluminioo, son piezas en metal stainles steel cromado!!!
