Very nice EM6285- I'm glad it's not me having to pick 12 pictures out of all these!

Thanks. I do like the fact that MACK is still strong here in PUERTO RICO. The KING of DUMP TRUCKS and now making a come-back onto ON ROAD TRACTOR TRUCKS. MACK is the choice for SEVERE DUTY aplications. I was at the LANDFILL this week and just saw a KENWORTH (KAN'T-WORK) T200 struggling to get up to the DEPOSIT AREA with a 45 foot transfer trailer. Who they called???? yes.... the OLD MACK SUPERLINER to the rescue. That PUPPY pulled that load with out any problem.

I do wish I can fill my BMT PHOTO GALLERY with all this photos, but I think I am MAXED OUT.

You can follow me on FACEBOOK so you can see all the PICTURES, search it by my name FABIAN ORTIZ NAZARIO and please let me know you are a BMT MEMBER.

    Thanks for your time.

  2. I LOVE THE CH-SERIES TRUCK. IT IS TIME TO GET AN "M" GRILL FOR IT. WITH A LARGER HOOD AND SOME CHASSIS MODIFICATIONS (IT CAN BE DONE) AN MP10 605 HP ENGINE WILL FIT AND THERE YOU HAVE THE SUPERLINER REBORN!!!(USING THE TITAN'S AIR FILTER STACS TOO)

    ((

AND PLEASE GET RID OF THE "PINNACLE" MODEL NAME...KEEP IT SIMPLE AS CH700 OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. I HATE WHEN MY FRIENDS CALL THEM "MACK PINEAPPLES"

  3. With this new MACK model for the class 6 & 7 I think MACK should seek the oportunity to offer a CHASSIS of its soon to come CLASS 6 / 7 truck to SCHOOL BUS MANUFACTURERS so they could mount TYPE-C (conventional) school buses on this new MACK class 6 / 7 chasiss.

THOMAS BUILT BUSES (owned by the DAIMLER TRUCK GROUP)uses FREIGHTLINER TRUCKS chasiss.

IC BUS CORPORATION (owned by NAVISTAR) uses INTERNATIONAL TRUCKS chassis

STARCRAFT BUS. Will enter the TYPE-C School Bus market with a TYPE-C School Bus mounted on HINO TRUCKS chassis.

BLUE BIRD BUS co is the only one with no mayor TRUCK MANUFACTURER as its PARTNER or CHASSIS PROVIDER. So that MACK class 6 or 7 TRUCK CHASSIS might have a chance here and if it is powered by CUMMINS it will be a great deal for BLUE BIRD because CUMMMINS is BLUE BIRD'S engine provider. So a MACK CHASSIS already with the engine BLUE BIRD CO uses for its BUSES might help BLUE BIRD BUS CO a lot.

  4. Quote: "they would still be building engines, trans.etc of their own design. Without assistance from a foreign country,as they have for 111 years"

Well those 111 years include the years of MACK-RENAULT and the years of MACK-VOLVO don't you think????

If there is any complain with the way MACK DEALERS are working, well give your concerns to the MACK executives in charge of DEALESHIPS or PARTS and SERVICES operations.

As I said before, we are the ones that will ruin the MACK name with our pesimistic ways of thinking. Let the MACK-VOLVO aliance develop. Nothing is perfect but chances are that what is wrong will get fixed.

Were the MACK TRUCKS brand will be today without VOLVO?? Who knows all I know MACK has a STRONG HISTORY and is a CULT. BUILT LIKE A MACK stands for the BEST TRUCK there is. If VOLVO let MACK go on its own, can the MACK BRAND stand and begin again?????

VOLVO HELPED MACK, sure there are some issues, but the positives are more than the negatives. For instance the MP-SERIES ENGINES is a new platform for todays modern diesel powerhouses, when competitors still built on older engine series and technologies. CATERPILLAR is out so MACK has to capitalize on that factor. Is PACCAR at risk of loosing CUMMINS as its ENGINE PARTNER????

How sweet will it be if PACCAR knocks MACK'S door and ask for MP-SERIES engines for their trucks!!!

We have to be positive abut MACK'S FUTURE. MACK is so strong no matter if VOLVO leaves MACK, MACK can survive. MACK is here to STAY. If you are no more a MACK enthuiast because of the "VOLVO ISSUE" then go SOUTH OF THE BORDER and buy INTERNATIONAL or FREIGHTLINER...

    HAPPY 111 ANIVERSARY MACK!!!

  5. I think I would have to agree with that. I wasn't thinking about their involvement in the school bus market.

CUMMINS INC put their 2010 EPA ONLY EGR vs its own 2010 EPA SCR technologies. The SCR turned out to be the best one for the customers. Don't really know why THOMAS BUILT BUSES opted for CUMMINS DIESEL for their SCHOOL BUSES when they are part of the DAIMLER TRUCK GROUP wich has DETROIT DIESEL and MERCEDEZ BENZ DIESEL. Maybe is because there wasn't enough time for both to DESIGN an SCR engine for their SCHOOL BUS partner.

And do not forget about other markets for CUMMINS DIESELS such as BIG RVs and FIRE TRUCKS!!!

Only thing though is that I do not want a CUMMINS on my MACKS

  6. I think Cummins will still remain a player, though likely in a lesser role than in the past, and mainly as a supplier of some of the engine subsystems such as turbos and DPFs.

I do not think CUMMINS will have a lesser role than in the past.

As it is for today CUMMINS is the mayor DIESEL ENGINE suplier to the SCHOOL BUS market as it is the "engine partner" of both BLUE BIRD CORPORATION and THOMAS BUILT BUSES. THOMAS BUILT BUSES is a parent company of FREIGHTLINER TRUCKS and the DAIMLER TRUCK GROUP. THOMAS BUILT BUSES opted for CUMMINS engines instead of its parent company offerings of DETROIT DIESEL and MERCEDES BENZ DIESEL engines. And now with CATERPILLAR out of the market CUMMINS have capitalized the SCHOOL BUS market to become the mayor DIESEL ENGINE provider for that aplications.

CUMMINS will be a mayor DIESEL ENGINE provider for the PACCAR group (KENWORTH and PETERBILT) as the "PACCAR PX ENGINE SERIES" are nothing but rebadged CUMMINS DIESELS. Lets seee how this one will work as most of the KENWORTH and PETERBILT loyal customers were devoted to the CATERPILLAR DIESEL ENGINE on their trucks.

CUMMINS will still provide the 6.7 DIESEL for the DODGE RAM truck.

So CUMMINS is still a player.

CATERPILLAR in the other hand is a sad story wit a sad ending. CAT TRUCKS give me a break!!!

  7. Let's not forget that most of the engineers, designers, and factory workers at Hagerstown are the same one's that brought us the E7, E9, E-Tech, and ASET engines. Everything for EPA o4 o7 and 10 was handled in Hagerstown. At the end of the day exactly how "Volvo" is the current MP engines?

Cummins natural gas engines are available on trash trucks and I heard this year Mack is introducing a new model option that will be Cummins powered only. I bet we will hear about it publicly in the next few months. The MP engines arent perfect for 100% of everything so Cummins seems to fill in the gaps were its needed.

At the end of the day the MP ENGINE SERIES (MP for MACK POWER)was engineered, designed, tested and built by the MACK workers and crew at MACK'S HAGERSTOWN facility. VOLVO GROUP might put the CAPITAL,FINANCIAL AND ECONOMICAL RESOURCES for all this to be done. So they can have a MACK QUALITY engine for their VOLVO TRUCKS brand. Designated "D Engine Series" (D for DUPLICATE) to go on VOLVO TRUCKS. So that is why I think the MACK MP SERIES are MACK BUILT and not VOLVO BUILT, VOLVO might put the $$$$$$ but the people at MACK'S HAGERSTOWN factory make it.

VOLVO just did what GM did with the SAAB 4 cylinder engine they reclaimed as their ECO-TEC engines.

    MACK needs no CUMMINS.

And as for they "brand new" CAT TRUCKS they are just crapy INTERNATIONAL TRUCKS rebadged and the same goes to the engines, no CATERPILLAR engines just MAXXFORCE ENGINES painted CAT YELLOW. MAXXIPILLAR

  8. What I really wish is for someone to buy Mack from Volvo, ditch the MP engine and use Cummins engines only, with Mack or vendor trans and cariers. We would be a one step ahead of Kenworth and Pete by having our own transmissions and axles. But it will never happen. For now I prefer just one engine because of trainning and parts.

Who is gonna buy MACK???? PACCAR so they make MACK another "generic" truck????? Why ditch the MP ENGINE SERIES??? Are they that BAD???? Every engine manufacturer has had their share of troubles thanks to E.P.A but as far as time goes I have been receiving positives replies about a bunch of friends who have MP Powered MACK GRANITES.

Why would MACK need CUMMINS engines for???? Forget what KENWORTH and PETERBILT do because it is easy to haul 80,000 lbs or less ON ROAD in lesser trucks built with lesser components such as EATON, MERITOR and ROCKWELL.

We got the MP SERIES engines and that is it. Lets be supportive to the MACK brand and make the MP SERIES engines stand out against the competition. All the "bitchin" because the engine is "made by VOLVO" isn't gonna get MACK to were it deserves to be- THE BEST TRUCK BUILT IN AMERICA-

MACK is still ahead of KENWORTH and PETERBILT by having its own TRANMISSIONS, AXLES, CARRIERS and yeah that MP SERIES ENGINE that you hate that much.

But if you still want a CUMMINS in a MACK there is great news for you:

The MACK® TerraPro™ Cabover model is now available with heavy-duty natural gas engines supplied by Cummins Westport. The 9-liter Cummins Westport ISL G is rated at 320 hp, can use compressed (CNG) or liquefied natural gas (LNG), and has a three-way catalyst to meet EPA 2010 emissions standards.

  9. Well the MACK-VOLVO joint venture is much off a bittersweet tale. Where the MACK brand will be today if it wasn't for VOLVO???? Could the aging R-RD-RB-DM series along with the aged E-SERIES engines kept up to date with all the technological changes and enviromental reglamentations?????

What they need to do is consolidate the 2 brands apart from each other intervention, this means no VOLVO executives and engineers messing up the work of MACK executives and engineers. But we know this will be imposible because the 2 entities are merged together.

MACK future buyers and costumers should spec a COMPLETE MACK POWERTRAIN (well what is left of it) MACK TRANSMISSION, MACK SUSPENSION, MACK AXLES AND CARRIERS. Skip the M-DRIVE so it would hurt VOLVO, keep requesting the MAXITORQUE. ditch SPICER, EATON, FULLER and MERITOR in favor of MACK COMPONENTS.

But what would hapen if VOLVO left MACK??? Will VOLVO go away with its propietary CHASSIS AND ENGINE platforms and leave the MACK brand with no CHASSIS or ENGINE???? Will the remanent of MACK ENGINEERS, FACILITIES or NETWORK be able to design a BRAND NEW MACK ENGINE and CHASSIS to keep the brand in the MARKET????

How will VOLVO people feel if someone specs a VOLVO TRUCK with MACK DRIVETRAIN COMPONENTS?????

The job here is to strenghten the MACK BREED by ditching vendor components as option for a MACK.

As you know the MACK-VOLVO thing is a BITTERSWEET situation.

  10. Hi there again to all you MACK TRUCK enthusiasts.

Another nice MACK R-SERIES TRUCK from PUERTO RICO!!! We love MACK TRUCKS!!

  11. CONGRATULATIONS TO KENDRA RODGERS FOR HER 2010 BIG RIG PULLING SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP. WAY TO GO FOR KENDRA AND THE RODGERS PULLING TEAM (UNLEASHED MACK / UNPREDICTABLE MACK) THE MOST AMAZING FEATURE OF THE RODGERS PULING TEAM IS THAT THE TRUCKS ARE POWERED BY MACK IN-LINE 6 CYLINDER DIESEL ENGINES (E7), AND THEY WERE STRONG IN A FIELD DOMINATED BY MACK E9 V8 AND THE BIG BLOCK CUMMINS INDUSTRIAL QSK19.

MACK MAKES IT, MACK SHAKES IT.

    ALL THROTTLE NO BOTTLE.

  12. This is Kendra, and I just wanted to let you know that the weight box would have had to come up in the second video. The reason I'm saying this is because when I started to head toward the wall, the weight box advancing is what stopped me, I didn't hit the brakes. So therefore if the box wouldn't have advanced there would have been no way for me to stop as quick as I did. I would have run straight into the wall because I was going so fast. So there's your proof that it did advance, plus the fact that you can see the weight box at the end of the video.

    Kendra

    Hi Kendra:

Good to know you posted a reply to this TOPIC. I created it so people and MACK TRUCKS ENTHUSIAST have the oportunity to know about your MACK PULLING RIGS. First of all congratulations on your runs in the 2010 season and I hope you became the 2010 BIG RIG PULLING SERIES champion.

The most spectacular aspect of the RODGERS PULLING TEAM trucks is that they rely on MACK 6 cilynder engines for power, in a field were the mayor part of the MACK pullers are powered by the MACK E9 V8 engine. What your team has done with MACK 6 cylinder engines is AWESOME because is a MACK TRUCK DIESEL ENGINE and can beat the bigger engines such as CUMMINS QSK19, and DETROIT DIESEL 12V71 V12.

I will like to know more about both MACK PULLING TRUCKS, UNLEASHED an the new truck named UNPREDICTABLE. Only thing I know about them is that they are SINGLE TURBO CHARGER trucks. Is there any web page about the RODGERS' PULLING TEAM???

Thanks for sharing some time with us MACK TRUCK ENTHUSIASTS. Go for the 2010 champioship!!!

P.D- I like the truck's motto MACK MAKES IT, MACK SHAKES IT and ALL THROTTLE NO BOTTLE

  13. HERE ARE SOME PICTURES THAT MY COUSIN AND HER HUSBAND -BOTH RESIDENTS IN NORTH CAROLINA- TOOK WHEN THEY GOT NEAR TO THE MACK TRUCKS INC. MAIN OFFICES IN GREENSBORO NORTH CAROLINA.

2011 MACK PINNACLE (VISION???) I LIKE THE BEEFED-UP "M" GRILL. PHOTOS WERE SO SMALL, THAT I THOUGHT FOR A SECOND THAT THIS NEW MACK TRUCK SPORTED A VOLVO TRUCKS CAB

  14. Do they win any money for this. If they do does it even come close to cover the cost of everything. Or is it more or less a hobby for rich people.

For me is not about the MONEY. They have been working and tuning this PULLING RIGS for years. Everything they put in is earned by them because each team has their own SHOP, FARM, EXCAVATING, TRUCKING BUSINESSES ETC...so it is their APPRECIATION for this SPORTS what drives them.

And just take this from a guy who lives in PUERTO RICO were we do not see TRUCKS like this. What I like about PULLING RIGS is the extreme power of their DIESEL ENGINES ant how can they stand up to that torture. I hope to see them in person in the near future.

And it is not a hobby for rich people either because all this PULLING RIGS are presented at COUNTY FAIRS on the USA

The most impressive thing about RODGERS' PULLING TEAM is what they have accomplished with a SMALL DISPLACEMENT 6 CYLINDER MACK DIESEL ENGINE with just ONE TURBOCHARGER and they can OUT-RUN competitors that use BIG BLOCK engines such as V12 DETROIT DIESEL, CUMMINS QSK19 etc....

    Enjoy the ride...

    GO RODGER'S PULLING TEAM!!!!

    MACK DIESEL POWER for ever!!!!

  15. The RODGER'S PULLING TEAM common players on the BIG RIGS SERIES with their memorable MACK CRUISELINER CABOVER and their MACK R SERIES conventional truck named UNLEASHED, now add a new player to the field, another MACK R SERIES conventional truck that looks like their famous UNLEASHED MACK. Painted in DARK RED and named UNPREDICTABLE this MACK PULLING RIG is also POWERED by a MACK E7 400 engine with a SINGLE CHARGER.

Currently KENDRA RODGERS driver of the UNLEASHED MACK PULLING TRUCK is at first place after grabbing 2 consecutive wins at the BIG RIGS SERIES events.

UNPREDICTABLE MACK PULLING TRUCK is the first one in this video.
