I think that the last "TRUE MACK" engines were the MACK ASET series used in FIRST GENERATION MACK GRANITE Trucks.

Now with my crazy thoughts....Is the MP SERIES really a VOLVO ENGINE or it is a MACK ENGINE stolen and badged by VOLVO as its "own" engine???????

Hello to all my fellow enthusiasts.

Here are some pictures of a CUSTOMIZED and TRICKED-OUT R600 that can beat KW and PETES at any TRUCK SHOW!!!!!

Very TRICKED-OUT with all those CHROME accesories such as the VISOS, TEXAS SQUAR BUMPER, DOUBLE CHROME AIR STACKS. CLEAR LED TORPEDO STYLE CLEARANCE LIGHTS and more details.

Just to show you that TRUCK SHOWS aren't just for KENWORTH and PETERBILT....

There is a company (JRA TRANSPORT) wich has some of the greatest Trucks I can remember from the time I was in HIGH SCHOOL. JRA TRANSPORT wich was known as CHENAN TRUCKING, was a fleet of Trucks. I remember when those MACK rode and passed every day on the road in front of my HIGH SCHOOL. When I was on the class room I could hear the rumble of the MACK Trucks tearing-up the streets. Those were the good days.

Those great Trucks have been resting for quite some time now. I remember that the FIRST CL700 I saw here in Puerto Rico was one mean BLACK CL700 that CHENAN TRUCKING bought (It is still running today!!!!)

JRA TRANSPORT is going to make a gamble and put this great Trucks back in service soon. So we will have a RESURECTION IN SPACE here.

Here are the pictures of 2 of the greatest MACK R-SERIES (R600) Trucks and a MACK RD that is being rebuilt. Owner has the complete ENGINE REBUILT KIT (OVERHAUL for E6 engines) and when I asked him if he is going to sell those MACK TRUCKS for parts, he told me that they will be back on the road soon.

I read thet the "NEW" CAT TRUCKS will be based on INTERNATIONAL'S PAYSTAR TRUCK platform. So they might be CLONES of INTERNATIONAL TRUCKS but badged as CATERPILLAR TRUCKS.

E.P.A is killing the DIESLE ENGINE industry with its complicated regultions, that they keep making them more stringent.. 2007 EPA, Now 2010 EPA, what is next 2012 EPA.... I think DIESEL engines are geting cleaner but why EPA does not bother other types of engines like GAS engines????

Once again CATERPILLAR has given up to EPA. And their last generation engines are geting more and more problems wich puts CATERPILLR quality going down.

To bad because CATERPILLAR and MACK DIESEL are the only engines I really trust and like to work with. Here I have a 3208 CAT powered single axle dump truck (FORD 9000) a CAT 3406 MECHANICAL powered KENWORTH T800 and a pair of MACKS with E6 power one a 285 and the other a 350.....And I will never trade those for the new ELECTRO NIGHTMARE ENGINES!!!!!

Hey EPA I will keep my MACKS puffing that precious black smoke time after time... What you gonna do???

If I could get my hands on it I sure turn it into a STREET RACING TRUCK (We have a STREET CLASS MACK R Truck here that can do 16.2 seconds on the 1/4 mile)

Does MACK TRUCK still use the VISION name? It was this VISION name the one that wasa changed to PINNACLE ?

Did MACK TRUCKS INC loose the right to use the VISION name to BLUE BIRD?

! Looks better then the old version with a granite like hood. New to the truck is the Cummins ISL up to 350HP, Mack transmissions and Mack axles/suspensions and axles up to 52k. The previous generation Metroliner had only Cummins ISC and meritor/spicer axles and vendor suspesions and tandem drives were limited to 46k.

Nice to see those MACKS. Will the METROLINER make it to AMERICA????

On July 13 2008 at our local TRUCK FEST at Carolina Raceway PAITO'S TRUCKING a MACK R600 Truck built for Drag Racing on its "STREET FORM" set a new record for a STREET TRUCK by blasting the 1/4 mile at 16.29 seconds!!!!!

Here is the video of that magnificent drag race!!!!!

All that power with a MACK EM6 engine (285 HP) and a MACK 5 speed GearBox!!!!!!!!

Here are some pictures taken by my friend OSVLDO.

These are trucks that haul asphalt for paving roads here in Puerto Rico. While one MACK TRUCK was wating for dumping the asphalt, suddenlly the gound supporting it went down.

Thanks to some help, the truck went out of that hole without braking anything!!!!!!

I talked to a long time Mack employee in Macungie this year. He said he retired because he was tired of the Volvo BS. I think we all are!

They should bring back the good names

Granite is fine, but how can you name a truck after a rock?

TITAN is ok for such big truck

I find today's way of naming some MACK TRUCKS models a little out of pace. PINNACLE,what the heck does that name relates to TRUCKING? Only names I like are Granite and TITAN...but of all of them TITAN is the name they should KEEP.

Why do they did not bring back the SUPERLINER name?

I like the old method of using letters and numbers and my favorites are B61, R600, RD600 to name a few.

Isn't the VISION what became into PINNACLE?

TERRA-PRO ???? Say what??? I still call this one MR.

Speaking of CHINA.

Our GOVERMNENT ordered the recall of some products that are MADE IN CHINA.

1-TOOTH PASTE (Yes it is poissoned)

2-Some Brands of TOYS (Paited with paints that contain LEAD)

3-Some "GENERIC" PARTS for Cars and TRUCKS. (LOW QUALITY PARTS)
