  1. I've seen the TerraPros as Dump/Plow trucks, line painters (as mentioned above), and roll-offs.

    And here's a roll-off: http://www.truckpaper.com/listings/detail....5464952D6790D0D

Looks like the door windows are "bigger" on the TERRA-PRO DUMP TRUCK and more "smaller"on the yelllow one. Is this an option ? Can I spec the size of the door windows?

I thought about how does the MR TERRA PRO will look like if it has he same slanted window style as other MACK TRUCKS like the Granite or PINNACLE.

TERRA PRO sure needs those slanted window style and a more modern pair of mirrors

  2. Hello to all of you my friends.

Well I nedd some advice regarding something about the MACK TERRA PRO.

Will this MACK TERRA-PRO onlly be available as a FRONT LOADER (REFUSE INDUSTRY) and CONCRETE PUMP UNIT (CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY) I also have seen some old MACK MR that are what you call ROLL-ON /ROLL-OFF trucks.

I am interested to know if I can spec a MACK TERRA-PRO to be a DUMP, FLAT BED or even a BULK FEED TANK truck.

I drove an old MACK MR (1983) powered by a MACK EM6 285 HP and that 2 stick gear box. This truck had a WARREN BULK FEED TANK over it. The WARREN BULK FEED TANK was newer than the truck.

  3. The Lo is only used with the main in first gear, for off road or if you get stuck but if you start out in lo first you can than shift to high and than run through the rest of the gears.

I thought I put the main in 1 and the other in LO so I throw 5 grars in LO then split-shift to HIGH and return to 1st and threw the rest shifts in HIGH.

But I love the fact that I can throw 5 grars in reverse.

  4. Hello to all of you guys It is me your good ol' friend from PUERTO RICO.

    Guys I just got my hnds on a :mack1: R Truck with a 2-STICK :blink::wacko::mack1: Gear-Box....

Owner told me that one stick is for shifting 1, 2, 3, 4 AND 5 and the other stick has LO-HI and REVERSE.

He told me that If I gear into REVERSE, I can throw the 5 speed gears using the "5-speed stick"

Only thing I want to know is that if I put the LO gear and I throw the 5 gears on the other shift stick...In my next shift throw I have to go neutral get the HIGH gear in and then shift back ti 1ST on the other stick ?

How do I shift this one ?

I need to take this truck for a ride...

By the way I LOVE the idea of shifting 5 gears in reverse !!!!!SWEET.....

  5. MACK TRUCKS INC R-MODEL is one legendary truck. This trucks are true performers because they still work hard every day.

I like the looks of MACK R Trucks. They are unique in design.

Here are some pictures about some nice MACK R models at our DIESEL NATIONALS. This is a tribute to the MACK R TRUCK and I want to share my memories with all of you my friends.

Come to PUERTO RICO to our DIESEL NATIONALS on NOVEMBER 2008!!!!!!!

This is a nice MACK R Dump Truck with that MACK EM6 engine rated at 285 HP is stills working on the road every day. Can your Detroit Diesel claim that?

  6. Actually in the plant the RD was the last of the two models run. First the RB dropped off the the DM stopped, then the RD and the CL was the final one run from the older model conventionals, if memory serves me correctly on what was run down the line

After reading that, I just want to cry!!!!!!! :(:(:(:( A sad story that this legendary :mack1: TRUCKS came to an end. But they will still work hard on the road no matter what....

  7. omg. i was in my glorry. sat in the mack titan and the mack pinccel day cab and i was going to sit in the pinccel sleeper but people where already in there. also outside they had a show and shine and there was a SWEET, I MEAN SWEET MACK B67 WITH A AERODYNE SLEEPER ON IT I WILL POST PICS OF IT LATER KEEP COMING BACK IF YA WANT TO SEE THEM. also i went in lots of petes and kenworths and volvos. also freightliner and sat in the lonestar cab. they only had the cab and the sleeper not the whole truck. also in the prostar. my favorite would have to be that b67 mack. also a hayes cabover for arnold bros. also bison transport (where my dad works) had the truck simolater there and they guy running it garth said if i come with my dad he will let me drive it :D:D and it is like real life with the dash and the truck brands say everything so that will be sweet and this friday i will be in the w900l to work unless other things happen

do not worry i will post pics of the :mack1: s

Better put that PICTURESA of all thoe MACK TRUCKS there...Specially that SWEEEEEET MACK B67

MACK B61 the best classic truck ever!!!!1

    I am a B61holic!!!!!!

  8. Here are some vidoos for our DRAG RACING MACK TRUCKS.

This is PAITO'S RACING from PAITO'S TRANSPORT a MACK R600 with a MACK EM6 285 engine and on its street form this BAD DOG can run 16.9 seconds!!!!

DUMONT TRANSPORT our MACK RACING SuperDog can blast the 1/4 mile on 11.9 seconds with a MACK EM6 285 engine and 5 speed MACK GearBox... Eat that Detroit Diesel!!!!!

DUMONT TRANSPORT Drag Racing MACK R600 vs ALMA LIBRE Drag Racing SCHOOL BUS!!!!

    Enjoy!!!!!!

  9. I understood that while the engines are similar on design for both companies MACK and VOLVO, they are not the same in other aspects of design. Maybe MP7s work better becuse MACK fixed them and VOLVO D11 are such a nightmare, because VOLVO, well it just SUCKS!!!!!!

  10. CamelBack suspension is by far one true performer. It is amazing for me to see MACK TRUCKS with this camelback suspension setup, working on the landfill were the ground is unstable and they do not get stuck. Not the same story for the INTERTRASHIONAL Truck I took to the landfill yesterday.

CamelBack style suspension will keep going if customers, and I mean real people who knows how trucks work and not an accounting manager of the company are in charge of ordering new trucks for the job.

    gallery_1677_471_508918.jpg

This is a CAMELBACK Suspension set-up that its on a 2009 MACK GRANITE Truck that our local MACK TRUCKS INC Dealer (M.A Caribbean) put on display at our 2008 DIESEL NATIONALS.

  11. That M grille looks good on that Cl. Sorta gives it a new life with a modern appearance.

Next move on the "Modernization" of this particular MACK CL700 is a door change were the original doors will be replaced by the modernn style doors with that tilt on the window glass. (I do not know how to call it)

This gives you guys some ideas of what you can do to your MACK Trucks. There is that wrong view that MACK TRUCKS are Go and no Show, but with radical customizations like this and the available chrome accesories MACK TRUCKS are for Show and Go.....go to work that is!!!

  12. For some reason The MACK-VOLVO aliance has not taken a huge place in changing the MACK TRUCK concept here in Puerto Rico. When I went to ur local MACK DEALER M.A CARIBBEAN INC, I saw few of the new MACK TRUCKS on display and everyone of it has MACK components such as gearbox, suspension, axles and rear ends. Because VOLVO TRUCKS are rarely sold here (Only if you import them from outside dealers) I think that is the main reason our MACKS have been less "VOLVORIZED"

Just see that pictures I posted here about that MACK GRANITE Dump Truck. When I saw it at the show I said here comes a truck that is ruined by VOLVO, butr to my surprise that 2008 MACK GRANITE still has a MACK gearbox, suspension, axles and all that good MACK stuff!!!!!

  13. I'm not sure on tha renault question however I know that they helped Mack get a 700hp E-9 into a french army tank as well as a tank transporter.

2 NO NOT ONLY NO but HELL no through out the ninties Mack gained market share every year, because the trucks were MACK tough. I'm not sure what caused all the engine problems with the E-7 engines after the E.G.R. system was introduced but the e-tech 427 in my vision has given me very very good service and currently has over 755000 miles on her. :mack1:

The RENAULT /MACK aliance was one that worked very well.

Take the time to think about if MACK TRUCKS could have survived today's ENVIROMENTAL policies with their aged E7 engine line-up and all the R /RB and DM models that were getting to old for the times.

Volvo take the task to take the MACK product line on to a new ERA. Sure there has been some issues and problems and maybe the people at MACK let the VOLVO people take all control of what a MACK truck should be.

My only wish is that VOLVO just let MACK TRUCKS be all MACK BREED and only help with Engines /Chassis and Cabs. The other components have to be MACK.

  14. Well after seeig the all MACK + VOLVO dilema. Only thing I have to say is that in some sort of way VOLVO helped the MACK product line to evolutionize. MACK has now competitive trucks in respect of desing, aerodinamycs and comfort. In the ENGINE drama... Is a MACK or a VOLVO ????? I have to say that the DIESEL ENGINE for both brands, althougth identical (TWINS ????) they work and perform very far from each other. Lots of MACK MP-7 and MP-8 running prety good, while VOLVO D Series are having some 'issues"

Only thing VOLVO has to left untouched are the MACK Gearbox, Suspension,Axles and Rear End. Maybe VOLVO put a little Re-Design on the GRANITE Series wich is evolving every few years and that is OK with me. MACK will get stronger only if customers kept being faithfull to the product and when you know your boss is going to the MACK dealer, please take the time to go with him, because the VOLVORIZED employees at the MACK dealer will ask your bos for cheap components (like MERITOR) on the truck to be spec'd

Our local MACK DEALER MA CARIBBEAN INC at least ask for all MACK DRIVE TRAIN.

We have to let the VOLVO /MACK thing continue on only if both brands do not take actions in the way each other has to be.

I love all MACK PRODUCT LINE. Now we have a TITAN to compete with the other Big Trucks, Now we have that luxurious RAWHIDE interior to compete with other trucks. Now we have 6 cylinder engines that can compete in the HORSE POWER WARS and be fuel efficient and all that for your hate or love is in part thanks to VOLVO.

  15. As the era of the 5 year truck begins its nice to see

At least this dealer had the good sence to order real mack components.

Most of our stuff is coming in with meritor stuff! Most guys like locking diffs here and the mack diff hasnt offered that yet!

Its nice to know the rear ends will still be intact when the rest of the truck will be long gone! :D

MERITOR Stuff just SUCKS!!!!! For the road and job site conditions here NOTHING beats a true MACK rear ends.

Here that MACK rear-end is so aprecciated that when the peolple at the dealer ask you what kind of rear end components you want on your truck a 100% of buyers say make mine a true MACK Truck!!!!
