Oops. Sorry. Thanks for correcting me. Were the MH's labeled differently than the Cruiseliners?
-
Hmm. bought another air cleaner housing to install on my Cruiseliner. Just trying to make it look "factory". I don't think that was an option. An ole timer once told me YOUR DIESEL NEEDS 2 THINGS TO RUN FUEL AND AIR, AND BOY AIR IS FREE GIVE IT ALL IT WANTS.

I think that 603 was a glider. 612 single axle Mack power 643 tandem Cat power 633 tandem Cummins power 653 tandem Detroit power. Im not positive
-
This is probably a dumb question but does that E9 get enough air with that single air cleaner?
-
I hope the problem is cured. Find out Tuesday as were headed for Colebrook. The treadle valve is new too. Thanks

A "Golden Road" hauler for sure.

This seems like a dumb question, AT least to me it does. While trying to figure out my brake issue I discovered that the exhaust line form the trolley valve was plugged. Now the trolley brake works fine. Havent been down the road yet but in the yard so far the brakes have not hung up. Is it possible that the plugged exhaust line was my trouble all along? Do the foot brakes exhaust thru the trolley exhaust line?
-
Yes that's true. Kinda like the kids with their hotrod Honda's and other Fast & Furious cars. Why? But at least their doing something creative

I agree with you folks. Seems like a real shame. At least I wont have to cry over a Cabover being turned into a Ratrod. Guess there not worth doing that to.

Wow! What an education!! Thanks for that info.

I don't know if we can sell you anymore COE's with the comments you have been making. The air must be thin up there. LOL

Still trying to figure out my brake problem. Brakes sometimes don't release when you take your foot off the pedal. If I use trolley brake they ALWAYS stay on. When they stay on it takes about a minute for the air to release unless I un hook the service line to trailer. I have replaced the tractor protection valve as well as the treddle valve. doesn't matter what trailer im pulling. There are 2 junction blocks for air in the dash. Does the treddle valve feed thru the trolley or does the trolley valve feed thru the treddle valve?
-
Yes you are correct, When the switch is in the Headlight or Park position then 3 center side markers on hood and tail lights should be on
-
Think of CL LPS as your trailer light switch, that has the 2 outside cab lights hooked to it. The "flash to pass" switch up by the door post is hooked to that circuit.
-
I always thought that's what Peterbuilts were for?! Use them when the roads are dirty so I don't get my Cabovers dirty. LOL

Just a little off topic but what does the Scania have to do with Mack?
-
That Crackerbox is impressive. Also like the Mack Loggers.

wimpy highway trucks? How many dump trucks can a person look at? That was always Macks problem. They didn't cater to highway end of things. Now look who owns them. Just my opinion
-
Back along there was a show on TV where they found that truck near Tampa, Fl. It was hauled to N.C. to be fixed. Then it went to N.J. After that I lost track of it. The show was American Trucker starring Rob Marriani. We use to email back and forth with him then he and the show disappeared.
-
Yes I saw the adjusters but the cables are broke and the dash control is worn out. I know it sounds crude but im going to drill a hole and put a choke cable in to control the heater/defroster door. the truck is a mutt. Not much to look at.
-
Seriously I do appreciate all the input from folks. Anytime I can be of assistance I will. Thanks again
-
LOL. Nah, I think I get it fixed. Either that or ill buy a winter bomb truck maybe say a truck with a hood. That way I could put a wood stove in it just cut a hole in the roof for a pipe. After all, its just a convential
-
Put this way. I f the reporter wasn't smart enough to move outa the way for the first 2 trucks then............ You go outside in the rain is it my fault you get wet? Beware of your surroundings.
