Thanks sbrem... i gotta meet you this year so i dont miss ya like last year !
Yeah, Definently! I guess I didn't really know of you or your truck last year, or I would have definently talked to you. I remember looking at it and thinking it was a cool truck, but I didn't know whoes it was. Actually I stood right next to it for a while talking with Sousa.

I think its an 18 speed Roadranger, but I'm not positive on that. Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

The only thing I would have done different would be to leave the bulldog on the hood. Other than that, I think its perfect

Here are a few pictures I took of Sal's Mack at the P&G truck show in Connecticut last year
And if you look in Superdog1986's photo album he has pictures of his Superliner with Sal's at the P&G show. The 2 trucks look great next to eachother!

I don't know him, but I have also seen his truck at a show and it is REAL nice!

Did you know it is the law in the state of Connecticut that as soon as the weathermen start pridiciting snow everyone is required to go to the store and buy milk and bread?
Jim
The same thing happens here in Vermont too. I try to avoid stores before a storm. Too many crazy people out.
don't worry steve it's gonna rain hot water tomorrow night.
I wish it would! I'll still be out plowing tommorow night. Been an easy year so far though. Middle of Feburary and this is only our 2nd plowable storm. Very strange winter!

Looks good!

Cool videos! Thanks for posting them.

Thank you. I was fairly sure, but having never driven one or even been in a truck with one, I was just curious.
-
Just trying to educate myself a little better. I have never driven a 12 speed. It is my understanding that it is basically a Mack 6 speed that also has a splitter. And they came both as a 2 stick or with an air shift for the low hole. Is this correct? Thanks
-
Not to beat a dead horse, but I got a video for Christmas and one guy made a good point, up shifts are first and down shifts are second.
Was that the "Trucks with 2 sticks" DVD? If so, I have it too. Good video.

That sucks. Any idea if the driver lived?
-
Yep, that's me.

I remember you from there too. I still go there once in a while, but not too often.
-
Ok I see what your asking now. I don't know if they all do that, but from what I have seen and heard from others its not an uncommon thing. I woudn't worry about it too much, unless it gets worse. I'm sbremm on eclc

Are you talking about just downshifting the splitter? Or do you mean going up to the next whole gear and down with the splitter (example 5 low to 6 high). If this is what you mean I was having problems too. I was trying to shift the splitter like a 2 speed rear end. I found an operation manual somewhere on the net and it said you are supposed to flip the splitter as the stick passes through neutral, not after you get into the next gear as with a 2 speed. Seems to work great this way.
Are you "pedro" from the ECLC site?
-
Thanks! Thats a cool site. I never knew suck a site existed.

Thanks for the pictures. That's one impressive looking rig!
-
Cool! Any more pictures of the Buffalo?

She's a beauty! Is it still in service?
I'm not 100% sure, but I think it is still in service. I have heard that there is only 1 or 2 on the department that can drive it though.
