  1. Have you asked the dealer? If the guy owed them money, they probably did service work on the truck. They may have all the service records and someone there could have a good idea of what is wrong with the truck.

What was the last year of the r 700? Could a chassis mounted inter cooler be mounted ahead of the radiator on a rs713lst?

R747, 754, 767 and 770 are listed through 1985. Almost all of the others didn't go past the 70's.

Just a question . On my truck when I pull the heater knob out the fan starts at a high speed . The farther out I pull the knob the slower the fan gets.  Not that it makes a difference . Would switching the wires change this .

It shouldn't. The switch is in a series configuration in the blower motor circuit. You are adding resistance when you change motor speed and the switch itself is dissipating the additional current through heating of the resistance of the switch. Don't matter which end is in, or out. Basically you are cutting the voltage back that reaches the blower motor as the switch slows it down.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that is done on multi position motor controlling switches to aid the motor. It is better for the durability of the motor to start at full power.

Come on Larry know you want the thing sitting in your yard next to the b model. :D

That would be a good thing for someone who has a Dodge race car.

Larry needs an H model Ford.

What model are those 1940 mixer trucks? Nice photos.

They appear to be White's - unless Mack used the same cab or one nearly identical - which I have never heard of. Further down the line it appears some of them have the wings on front that were on some of that model White.

It looks to me like Freuhauf was an aftermarket modifier some sort of equipment.. Drom, flatbed, ETC, ETC?????

That could be. The second line is - "INC. VEHICLE MFD. BY KENWORTH TRUCK CO." Must have been some kind of a combination.

    Broken crank?

    That is what I wondered.

If it happened after the dampener was replaced, is there something wrong with the dampener or the way it was done?

When watching the dampener/pulleys when the motor is running, is there any noticable wobble, out of round, or back and forth movement?

The strange thing is, every time something is done to the truck it is okay for a while - and they are unrelated repairs.
