Hey everyone so I have another strange issue. 2013 mru 613 mp8 motor Driving truck back from job and felt it missing and losing power. At shop checked 2 active codes injector 1&3 open circuit. Shut truck off to cool ate lunch. Started truck up to move and it’s running perfect no more miss or active codes. Is this maybe a short or damaged wire to injector harness? Any help would be appreciated just don’t want to get stuck somewhere

this maybe a short or damaged wire to injector harness? Yes It can be also caused by injector cups and pin connections ! The only way to find out is too ! pull the valve cover and check !

the wiring is shit on these ! It being soaked in oil and heat adds to its shittyness! Also look for oil push at engine ecu plug The sump sensor is also chronic ! The base engine is good  aside from cups ! the bolt on stuff is debatable

Well I think I found the problem brittle wires and coating coming off in wiring harness right where it bends over air compressor. The harness is a complete engine harness. 1800. Anyone replaced one before? Just wondering if I should try to do it I called Mack they charge 12 hrs for it at 195.00/hr

How long can you afford to be down! Take lots of pictures if you do it yourself! It’s an asshole job and that’s why it’s twelve hours!   There is very little that isn’t an asshole job on these new units! A simple 5 minute belt change takes an hour! They are made intentionally  hard to discourage people in my opinion! And to pissoff mechanics trying to do there jobs!
