Hi

I wondered if you would have drag link part number

I think I want to change it also

i have the link that has the ball and socket with spring you tighten up on Pittman arm ball

it appears there are a couple of different lengths

thank you

Drag link looks from the pictures, that it is made up of "tie rod end joints" and an adjustment tube. I found it simpler to just measure and order the ends for my Marmon drag link that is like that. Trying to order anything for a Marmon almost always gets you nowhere. You have to do the homework yourself but most things are always available.

The Mack dealer in Milford ct

are not to interested in getting parts for the older trucks

pai  does not have it

thanks again,I needed 105

thanks again

The part number for 105 is 25115926, any dealer should be able to get that for you EASILY. and if they can't, I would recommend giving their manager a shout and telling him. This is stupid easy to order, they don't even have to look it up!

The drag link is 13QC45BP28, it's been obsoleted from Mack, and PAI seems to have given up on it as well. Not sure where else to look other than having one custom made.

Not necessary related to this thread but more or less just a curiosity of mine is how parts become obsoleted. Like who sits around and studies parts breakdowns and says we are no longer going to have xyz part available anymore. How can one part of the same assembly be easier to get than a loaf of bread but the one it attaches to has been NLA for a decade or more?

My guess it is all done by computer, they look at the sales figures and base solely of number of units moved over a set time period. One would hope some note of how critical the part is would play a factor but I doubt it.

IHC sold all their old inventory to "Parts depot" and sometimes it is amazing what is still available NOS. Want a new rear hub for a 1940's rear axle, yep we've got one (just be prepared to pay through the nose).

Does Mack doing anything similar?
