876trucking Posted February 13, 2020 Share Posted February 13, 2020 Please help. I have a Maxitorque ES trans and I'm getting a grinding noise intermittently in low range only. Noise sounds like gears are slightly too far apart to engage. I switch to high range and those gears work fine. Also it seems to be more common if I shift into gear after coming to a stop. Had the same issue before and found the bolt on the shifter fork in trans loose. Problem as returned but the bolt is not loose.
