Bullheaded Posted December 12, 2019 Share Posted December 12, 2019 I have a friend that has a new Granite dump truck with the M-drive auto trans. He was telling me that any time the speed sensor malfunctions it derates to low gear and you cannot upshift it manually. he said he has tried manual mode, performance mode, etc. You are stuck in low gear until you get it to dealer. Is this true? Or maybe something that has not been programmed in or something? That alone would turn me off from ever buying one. I once delivered a truck for my dealer that had an Eaton AMT. The ABS light came on and it would no longer shift in auto...but it least it would in manual. But I hate those Eaton AMT's. They shift so rough.
