I remember reading when Mack was having financial problems in the 80"s before the Renault purchase that the Mack Mid liner was keeping Mack"s head above water. bbigrig Posted May 15, 2017 Share Posted May 15, 2017 Worked at a fleet that had a dozen CS units. We had a freedom demo and wasn't impressed. Owner didn't like cabovers. We didn't like all of the extra technology on the freedom. We ordered more CS units just before they were discontinued and the freedom was the only frog dog available.
