Well informed sources from Scandinavia inform Iepieleaks that there will be a new V8 engine with SCR only. That means that Scania is getting rid of the EGR sytem for almost the complete engine line! The new engine will have two turbo-chargers and one of them is a VGT turbo. The maximum output is said to be 760 horsepower, an increase of 30 horsepower compared with the existing model. The other engine ratings will be 520, 580 and 650. The 650 horsepower rating should be the most powerful engine that can be ordered with a manual transmission, but only in the R- cab. .
