Randall was named the senior vice president of North American sales, effective April 11, 2016. In his new position, Randall will report to Dennis Slagle, president of Mack Trucks. He brings with him 23 years of experience in the heavy-duty commercial vehicle industry and has held senior positions at several original equipment manufacturers. Randall will be based out of Mack Trucks global headquarters (i.e. the Volvo Group North America HQ) in Greensboro, North Carolina. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colorado State University. This is an April Fools' Day joke…..right? Throughout the entire American truck industry, they couldn’t convince a single “qualified” individual with a rich heavy truck background to leave their current employer and join Volvo’s Mack brand. Hmm. Even a troubled Navistar has managed to attract some premium individuals from Paccar*…..and it’s paying off!
