Dfarms Posted December 5, 2015 Share Posted December 5, 2015 I'm looking at purchasing a Mack day cab for my farm. Based on my budget in general it's probably gonna be an earlier 2000's model. I'm wanting to stay around 400 hp or higher. My plans are to only put about 15000 miles a year on it as I will be hauling grain primarily and making short runs to the mill. Just looking for advice on what engines tend to be better and what type of Mack is highly recommended. Thanks in advance for any advice. RedBullDog Posted December 8, 2015 Share Posted December 8, 2015 You probably don't want an 09 model for only 15000 miles a year. Emissions controlled trucks don't like to sit.
