theakerstwo Posted June 24, 2015 Share Posted June 24, 2015 The 290 will have a suitcase style water pump and blunt nose crank.Six bolts holding the dampener direct to the crank.the 335 will have a taper nose crank with a hub on the crank and the dampner bolted to the hub.If you will give me the stamped engine # from the left side of the block I may can tell you what it is. 1 Quote glenn akers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It has two belts and an idler pulley. i could not check the front of crankshaft. Could have someone made a 335 out of this block? There was no tag under fuel pump bolts.
