chana1634 Posted May 30, 2014 Share Posted May 30, 2014 I like to adjust the valve, on my truck, does any body have a chart or procedure in how to adjust valve, and engine brake, and or when is a good time to do this, my engine has 250,345 miles, only. gearhead204 Posted May 30, 2014 Share Posted May 30, 2014 the valve adjustment is the same as all inline 6cyl. engines if you have 4 valve heads the valve bridge needs checked first then go through the adj. with any book with a too young, too old, just right! firing order (153624) ok skip the cummins book it wont help all others ok gas or diesel. I would like to tell you the dynatard adjustment but its been too long and I don't want to tell you wrong! oh yah remember to pull the engine stop and turn the engine in the direction of rotation- enjoy Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
