Cam Bearings

do u need to do a major to install cam bearings or can you do in without taking the head off oil is leaking past cam bearings and the top of the motor is not geting the right amount of oil it is a 2000 e7 350

Mack alway told us , dont change the cam bearings unless its grooved up bad enough you hang your finger nail on the #2 and #5 cam bearing. We rarely ever put cam bearings in ETECH style engines. This was back around 2000 when we were doing 3-4 cam jobs a week under warranty.
