MightyFruit Trucking
Yes I'm about ready to buy me a newer Truck looking at Mack Granite 2010-12. A Tri or Quad and was thinking about getting an Automatic and was wondering what you guys think vs a manual? I will mostly use truck for Milling, black top, dirt, and Gravel. So I will probably get a steel bed! But I'm willing to take any suggestions on truck set up (bed, tarp, tire size, rear end, suspension set up! Many thanks! Joseph Moody Jr
I work for a state government that just purchase couple 2013 Mack Granite with a Allison Transmission. Run great with out problems. For my 14 years working there we always use Allison Transmission without major issues. Fleet was class 7 trucks with Sterlings and International and class 8 with Mack and International. We haul salt, sand, blacktop, all types of stone, etc. without problems. One thing we were told on newer trucks with Allison do not pull dipstick to check fluid level. We use gear selection pad by pushing up and down arrow button at same time after it warms up it tell you if it ok or overfill or underfill.
