workcomp33 Posted May 2, 2013 Share Posted May 2, 2013 I have a 1985 Mack with a E6 350, and yes it has a puff limiter on it.The turbo fills like it is delayed.The truck has no power until you fill the trubo which is around 16 - 17 rpm, and i max out at 2000 rpm. wastenafarmtrucking Posted May 14, 2013 Share Posted May 14, 2013 it sounds like the puffer valve is bad. try disconnecting the air line to it and see what it does, besides smoke like a train, which you can avoid by not laying hard on the throttle until after 1500 rpm.
