wildblue
I'm looking for the current locations and pictures of two Mack R model engines. Both were purchased new by the Quakertown NJ Fire Company. The first one is a 1973 R model that was reportedly the last Mack fire body produced. The second is a 1979 R model with a Baker body. Both were refurbished by Grumman Fire Apparatus in the early 1990's. QFC sold the 1979 Mack R to Frost WV Fire Dept in 1996. The 1973 Mack was sold in 2001 to a county fire department in Tennessee as a package deal with a neighboring department's American LaFrance Century engine. If anyone knows the current whereabouts of either engine, please let me know and if you have any pictures of them, please post.Thank you in advance for any assistance.Pictures posted below are pictures of the engines with their original bodies and their refurbished bodies.
