  1. General Ike, thanks for the suggestion but the rectangular headlights were changed from the original round headlights when we sent it to Grumman in 1991 for a completely new body.
  2. I have been in contact with Mike Martinelli about this engine, our old 1979 R engine and our old Mack R rescue truck. He doesn't have any info about this engine after we sold it. Thanks for the suggestion, though!
  3. I didn't think to check with the Mack Museum or the Carfax search. Good suggestions! I have posted this on the SPAAMFAA Facebook site and have not had any luck. Thanks! One of the reasons we would like to get it back.
  4. I have posted this request to the Fire Apparatus section of the Forum but I am also posting here in case the body was removed from the chassis and is now being used in another capacity than a fire engine. I am trying to locate this 1973 Mack R / Grumman engine. It was originally owned by the Quakertown Fire Company in NJ. It was sold to the Stewart County Fire Rescue in Tennessee around 2001 along with a 1975 American LaFrance engine from the Clinton Fire Dept also in NJ. The Mack was taken out of service by Stewart County several years ago. My contact at Stewart County has lost track of the Mack's location. If anyone has any pictures of the Mack in service with the Stewart County Fire Dept or any other departments, I would like to obtain those also. The first two pictures are of the Mack with the new Grumman body when she was in service in Quakertown, NJ and sold to Stewart County TN Fire Rescue. The last two pictures are of her with the original Mack fire body. If any one has any information and pictures of the Mack engine, please contact me at matt.papenfuhs@gmail.com. Thank you for any information.

  6. I'm looking for the current locations and pictures of two Mack R model engines. Both were purchased new by the Quakertown NJ Fire Company. The first one is a 1973 R model that was reportedly the last Mack fire body produced. The second is a 1979 R model with a Baker body. Both were refurbished by Grumman Fire Apparatus in the early 1990's. QFC sold the 1979 Mack R to Frost WV Fire Dept in 1996. The 1973 Mack was sold in 2001 to a county fire department in Tennessee as a package deal with a neighboring department's American LaFrance Century engine. If anyone knows the current whereabouts of either engine, please let me know and if you have any pictures of them, please post. Thank you in advance for any assistance. Pictures posted below are pictures of the engines with their original bodies and their refurbished bodies.
