svigarfarms Posted February 4, 2013 Share Posted February 4, 2013 1996 ch613 400 mack starts like the fuel is bleeding back almost every time (unless you take it to the dealer to get it fixed). I pumped on the primer pump and had a small amount of fuel leak around the plunger any chance that is where it's getting air. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My B died the other day during warm up...just faded away like it was outta fuel, thought maybe something was frozen...tried again when it was above freezing, no luck, took the primary filter off Saturday, it was full, and looked alright, there is no fuel in the injector pump, and when I pump the hand pump, I get nothing...Primary and secondary filters were replaced last year, would not think they are plugged...I am thinking it is the pump...PS...My primer pump leaks off and on... They get brittle and seep air at the connections.This is by far the least expensive thing to do. I like to do the cheapest things first.
