umodelnut Posted February 25, 2012 Share Posted February 25, 2012 in the center of my hubs on the front axle of my u model there is a white thing where oil or greace or something like that goes. is there supposed to be a cap over it? i knew on the earlier u models they had caps on the hubs but since mine was made in 1975 i dont think its sopossed to have them, thanks >>Vinny Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Joe D.I am a fan of the Lucas hub oil - I have had it slow down a slight leak at the seal. You are supposed to be able to run with less oil in the hub - I don't know about that. mike69mackman Posted February 27, 2012 Share Posted February 27, 2012 had a ch the shop replaced a front wheel seal but didnt tighten the oil hub completly oil leaked out on i81 in va.
