Rob Posted July 29, 2011 Share Posted July 29, 2011 Here is both the problem, and the solution:Problem: Screaming RTO-12513 transmission.Solution: Brand new Eaton/Fuller RTO-14613 transmission as the problem child's replacement. This is not a reman unit and was built Thursday, dyno tested and shipped on Friday, arriving at the shop yesterday. Eaton "donated" the number one flywheel housing cause I didn't have anything but Mack bells around here. I did not go with the external cooling option, but did the oil pump option as it will never be worked hard. I'll run the Eaton synthetic fluid also. I've got to get the roof installed sometime on that truck.
