Yup this is the Letourneau LCC1 Sno-train,quite an interesting story behind this thing! there used to be a HUGE Letourneau "crash tender" used to tow aircraft that had overshot the runway, somewhere down in texas, sitting beside the highway, this thing was huge! seems to me was powered by a V-16 locomotive engine or something of the sort, pieces of this vehicle still exist in alaska somewhere i believe......I was always partial to MACKS version of the snow train! some big ass trucks right there!......Mark

There is an old R.G. Letourneau plant in Peoria still standing. Komatsu now has it after Dresser, and Wabco. Some of those giant mine trucks were built right here along with a hell of a lot of dozer blades.
