Andy Wright 19
It's official, the Mack E Model Registry is under way with a grand total of just seven Es in Australia and the US listed so far (apologies to those who have read this on ATHS).If you own an E or know someone who does please drop me a line by email or private message. Once I have a decent number of trucks listed (say 50), I will make the registry available to whoever is interested. The format will follow that of the B Model register and the E register will be available on the net somewhere in pdf format. Thanks to Lee Haeberlein, Tom Freeman, Bob Gilbreath, David Waits and Mike Harbison for their help getting this off the ground and to Barry for making this a sticky!CheersAndy Quote Whatever rubs your buddah. Firemack 84
Hi AndyCheck with Barry on this one but I think Gerhardts (where the annual Fall Mack show in Lititz Pa is held) has an E model in the yard ( I think it is a dump). I am sure Barry knows the Gerhardt guy and can maybe find out more about it. That will make 2 dozen.Firemack

Speed 59
Hey Andy; I wanna get in on this, but I won't commit until I have title in hand for my Mack. No matter how well a deal is set up,there's always the possibility of change before it's complete. But you'll be getting my submission as soon as possible. Andy Wright 19
Hey Speed and Ol' DogThanks for your posts guys, great to hear from you. Been a bit quiet of late as I've been busy with other things but the registry is well into the 30s so it's still making progress! If anyone sees an E at a show or wherever, go and ask the owner if he knows of the registry as there's a very high chance he won't!Cheers and thanks again guys.Andy Quote Whatever rubs your buddah. Andy Wright 19
Hi DavidHappy New Year, mate. I did receive the manual thank you just before Christmas. We then were away till after New Year's and I only re-discovered it last night! I looked at it and went, Oh #%&* I haven't thanked David for that yet! Past six weeks has been full on and I'm back full-time at work so everything has stopped which is why I haven't been on here at all! Tim Maikshilo sent me an email as well and I haven't had the chance to reply for a chat yet (sorry Tim!).Sorry, mate. Thank you, I can learn a heck of a lot from what you sent me. The license plate is very cool too, it'll go up with the other metal signs I have around the place.Saw a magnificently original EH when I was in Melboorne in late November. Had a huge Mack brass plaque on the fuel tank. This truck was my first non-Type 75 E!Cheers and thanks again. What can I send you?Andy Quote Whatever rubs your buddah. Speed 59
Hi Andy; Guess you've heard the Mack EH deal fell through,so I won't be getting into the registry. I'm trying to find this truck a good home anyhow, though, and whoever buys it(rescues it) I'll pass on the information and try to get the new owner to log on,so it'll get registered somehow. Best of luck with the registry-hope you get all the E models out there covered! I'll keep all you BMT folks informed on my search for a truck. Just as soon as the weather gets better I'm getting the ENF510 engine back together and hope I can get my pumper on the road by late spring. The license plate I sent you was from our state flag, the Georgia State Patrol (State police) used them on all of their cars for years. About 3 years ago they quit using them and the surplus was sold to the public, it's hard to find a truck around here that does not have one on the front.Look in the back of the manuel at the pages that have the accessorys, the grill guard looks really good! I have never seen one or even a picture of and E with one, if I ever find one I am going to try and buy it for my pumper.DavidCheers and thanks again. What can I send you?Sorry, I just re read your post again and I saw your last line, I could use a case of Foster's, A good Cuban cigarand a loose woman! If you dont want to spend the money to get all that to me it is ok, just knowing I helped someone is enough in return for me.I hope it arived OK, I packaged it up as well as I could since I knew it would be handeld alot during the journey.David Quote 1948 Mack Pumper

Speed 59
Not 100% sure but I'm shooting for around March 10th. Maybe sooner if the money comes through sooner. I'll have to sell my car too,to have enough money to get the truck and get some work done on it before I bring it home. I did the math on it,and I'll be spreading it pretty thin without the car sale;probably won't be able to get the shift knobs or mudflaps I wanted, to make a grand entrance when I get home, would have to go with painted mirrors instead of stainless, standard headlight bulbs instead of Halogens,. I was planning to sell my Fairmont wagon anyway. That'll bring me up to where I'll be able to get the accessories I want, all the service items I'll need for it,and the materials to build a hella-big knuckle boom for it,and hopefully get an air compressor pump for it before I head back to Elko in it. Anybody out there need an economy car? Andy Wright 19
There's nothing on the net yet, mate, and there won't be until I have a decent number of entries (50) to make it worthwhile.I reckon the guys who have contacted you have done so through here or have picked your address out of the several E-group emails I have sent to those who are on the registry. But that's what BMT and the registry are all about - bringing Mack people together.CheersAndy Quote Whatever rubs your buddah. Speed 59
That's cool,Andy-I was just curious. Always good to hear from other lovers. I'm just hoping getting the Registry up and running doesn't cut you out of time to enjoy YOUR Trucks! I know what a "time vacuum" the forums can be if I don't make myself get up and walk away once in a while. Speed 59
Hey Andy, Better add me to the list as well. 1946 Model EH. SN# EH1D8368. He runs and drives. Began life as a wrecker. Thanks, Diamond T man. :bmod1: Springdale, Arkansas :bmod1: Hey,T Man; Welcome to the gathering. What drivetrain does your EH have? Now that he's not a wrecker anymore, what does he do? My '45 EH has been a dump truck but spent most of it's life pulling a lowboy hauling heavy equipment. It has an EN354 gas motor with an updraft carb(a real pain to work on! ),a 5 speed with a direct 5th,and a under/direct/overdrive Brown Lipe aux. transmission that was added early on (for the additional low gear, according to the original owner),and a 6.86 rear end ratio. I recently added a jib crane to help me load metal on trailers or on the flatbed I'll be installing in a couple of months. I'll be leaving the 5th wheel on it for now though. Okay, your turn! Speed 59
Jeeze,Andy-is this all the E models that still exist?? I saw it written that the E was among the most common models ever made;I wonder if it was also the most ofter sacrificed to scrap, yard tractor-conversions,saw-mill duty etc. too! How can we entice more E owners into our ranks? Maybe a little reward for owners that bring in new members,a shift knob, bulldog, something oriented? Of course I'd disqualify myself from that. But something like that might get the other owners a little more interested in checking out that ol' truck in somebody's yard they drive by every week and kinda wonder about.
